Creech Road was one of the best schools i have ever been to. They had a step team, chorus, and play works. they got a new Principal last year. He came to every school after event. And he was fun to be around. He would come to the kids class rooms every day. We had the best times with the talent shows , pep rally's , and school dances. The teachers were loving to each student. They would tell us what it was like going to middle school. My fifth grade teacher gave us home work and she would treat it like a sixth grade teacher would she toke off points for every day it was late but she would try her best to make u turn it in. This is the best school ever!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why there are bad reviews! I went to NGMS for the 2011-2012 in sixth grade, and I loved it! Yes, I can agree with the other student about the sagging issue. I don't know about the "broken chin" or "glass breaking" because sixth grade was one of the best school years of my life! I met awesome people that I'm still in contact with today at NGMS. From what I remember, it wasn't the cleanest of schools, but it was great and I loved it. Highly recommend.

Teachers and staff do nothing when a student is physically or verbally harassed by other students, in plain sight. Glasses broken, punched in the chin, lunches flipped over, books thrown to the ground. Can't abide by this anymore.

This school is not the best for its academics. I am a current 7th grader there and I am not happy with most of my teachers. I have had so many problems that the school puts aside. I do not suggest going to this school if you want the best for your child. I can not wait to leave for there is so much bulling going on, and fights every day in the halls, that teachers and staff do not take care of. It is as if the students run the school and push the teachers around. The dress code states that sagging is not allowed yet everywhere you go in the halls people are sagging and the staff does not do any thing about it. Some of the staff is extremely rude or the teacher is too nice to his/her students and let them get away with too much. One of my teachers (who is actually considered to be one of the better ones in the school) tells us on a regular basis how much she dislikes teaching and that she should have kept her old job.

this school is really not the best enviroment for learning because they have so many bullis and the school teachers only call you for information about sports.

Though some of the teachers are communicative and responsive to parents, not all of them are. I regularly communicate with one out of three of my child's core teachers. Another teacher and I communicate sporadically and the third refuses to communicate. I am not impressed with the staff response to reports of bullying. My child is bullied, has been hit, has had possessions taken away, and is constantly subject to offensive and foul language. The administration's response to reports of bullying is that they talk to the offender and everything is handled. That offers no comfort to a parent of a child who is being harassed, intimidated, and threatened while at school or on the school bus. If you have a choice, do not send your child here if you want your child to receive an education. Kids here are more concerned with acting and looking like a hoodlum thug than learning. I am looking into other options for my child.

Terrible school. Son has been bullied from day one. Kids wear pants that sag even though school policy says they shouldn't but no one re-inforces it. Teachers are nice but students are the worse I've ever seen in any public school probably due to lack of parental control and maybe they come from single parent home where no discipline is established.

The teachers here are nice but strict. They really care about the students. Especially Ms. Yarn and Ms. Gore. They are excellent. I am a straight A student and this school is great.

I agree. I am very involved in the school and also feel that the teachers and staff go above and beyond their call of service. Our kids are in a very safe environment and being taught not only core classes but respect as well. I give an A+ to this school!

I feel that this school does an excellent job. I feel too many people are quick to point fingers when they aren't even involved. This school is very good and they teach our children, keep them safe and follow up with parents in a very timely manner. Most of the staff that I have met have nothing but our childrens best interest in mind!

It is extremly hard to learn in a enviroment like NGMS. Alot of the students don't appear to care about their grades or behavoir. I am a straight A student and need mare challenges. The teachers seem to think that assiging a higher volume of work is 'chalenging' but it only challenges my and my parents to plan our schedules around the homework. I am trying to convince my parnets to send me to a school with students who care about acdemics and their behavoir.

Some teachers are nice but it's so easy it's not funny. I am a total straight A student and practically fall asleep in class. I dislike it being more of an athletic school than focusing on academics. Lots of kids curse and have horrible attitudes. If you think North Garner is a good school think again. NGMS ?!(*puke*)

My oldest daughter was re-assigned to NGMS for 7th grade. It was a huge difference from her old school. She was a B,C,D student with tons of homework. She now is on the AB honor roll with 10 min.of homework a few nights a week. These things do not change overnight. At the old school she had big projects that included on-line research. She had 1 project in the 7th grade. She said she has no homework because they complete it in class? Shouldn't the teachers use that time to teach? In the 8th grade, she brings home C's & D's again. Not 1 teacher contacted us with any concern. Our e-mails to them were met with defensiveness & lack of concern. I haven't found 1 person to be helpful with any issue (stolen I-Pod & yearbook, communicating with teachers). My younger daughter will attend this school over my dead body.

My child is in the 7th grade at NGMS and he really likes the school and his classmates. He is in compacted math so I am not sure why the other reviewer said that this is not offered. He is in AG courses and we are pleased with his teachers. I was apprehensive when we were first assigned to NGMS last year because of negative reviews but I think the school has really improved under the direction of Dr. Wall. He and the other administrators care about the students and have been open and responsive to my questions/concerns. All middle schoolers have some behavioral issues due to their age, maturity and need to socialize but the blame for bad behavior needs to be addressed by the parents. We have not had any problems in my son's classes and he is doing very well.

My two children just started this September and it has been such a big disappointment. They both come from a traditional calendar and this school do not offer nothing compared to the other school. The teachers call for nothing and you get a lot of calls from the schools for football games and stuff like that. They are big on controling their students. The teachers are unable to control thier children in class. The teachers that do try with students are getting blame for the way they conduct their self. I really believe Wake County needs to come in really look at this school. It is really in need of some help. The staff is just as childish as the children. Taking about children gender and different other little things. I would love to sit down with the school board I'm looking to remove my two kids from this school.

Wow, I would have never guessed so many negative reviews! My son is in the 6th grade and doing well. He is in AG Language and AG/Advanced math and doing great. He is loving school, our only negative review would be the fact that his phone got stolen during gym, which we mostly fault him for, however the assistant principal, Mrs. Wester was tremendously helpful, and was even able to get the phone back. I think the staff is very receptive & helpful. I personally think that having an officer on site is keeping the amount of violence lower than other schools. I am very pleased with my son's start out in this school, hopefully my review will be the same, if not better, by the end of the school year!

North Garner has also been a disapointment for my 12 year old son. Lots of fighting. Gimmicks to get the kids in for end of grade testing. allows children to do make up homework in class when the others have done their homework and are made to keep busy so the ones who did not do their work could finish. Very disapointed and would caution any parent whose child attend. the staff I beleive want it to change but it will be a long time.

on a whole, this school has been a tremendous disappointment. The teachers and staff were obviously unprepared for the school to change to year round and to have the influx on all Garner students. I am still trying to get my child in a magnet school ... I feel he has wasted an entire year by going to N. Garner.

I have seen a decline in quality education here. The teachers seem a bit lazier than previous years. Constant recorded messages about a whole lot of nothing all the time. I truly understand why students can't learn in this zoo environment

My son attends this school. As hard as the staff may try, the students are seemingly the ones in control. My son has a gentle demeanor but has wanted to take up fight training to defend himself from the bullies. I'm currently looking to place him elsewhere...

With the influx of new year round kids this school is continuing to improve. I have nothing but praise for the staff. They have been willing to work with the parents and Mr Wall truely seems to care about his kids. He strives to create a safe learning envirnoment for the students and doesn't tolerate unacceptable behavior. This school has seen an increase in parental involement and will continue to grow with each incoming class.

The school is outrageously out of control. I see fights every day. The students don't even care about their grades, conduct, and education. I would not recommend this school to anyone who wants to have a successful career in school.

I am a teacher at this school and I cannot express in words how much better the school is now. We have a new, strong principal and much more qualified staff. A lot has improved about our school in the last 2 years. We have many extra curricular activities and teachers who care. It it amazing to me how well-run the school is. Everything teachers do is focused on data and the test scores here are growing fast! We motivate kids by showing them exactly where they are in comparison to the rest of the county, so now they want to do well. We do not have a book for every student to take home in every subject, but that was a county decision. The schools do not decide how many books we get. Please look into this school as we look toward the future!

I Graduated North Garner last year and I am glad I don't have to go back to that school. People at North Garner are constantly getting into fights. The ones who don't fight back are getting pushed around. Most people there have gotten suspended at least once. If you want to see your child graduate and be proud of what they have acheived then I wouldn't recomend North Garner. Very few people make good grades and have a good attitude toward their peers. Half of them are just glad they passed their grade.

North Garner is not as bad as some people make it out to be. My three years there were good. The paper shortage is only because of the PTSA. If there was a stronger PTSA, NGMS would have adequate supplies. Also, the sharing of the books is not NGMS's fault, it is the school system's for inadequate funding. NGMS is not the only school that is short on books. Another point that one review made is that they charge ten cents per copy. So does every other school. There is no reason for someone to get upset about this because NGMS provides a library where students can check out books. I currently attend Middle Creek and the only reason they don't have a paper shortage is because the PTSA has money. At NGMS I had straight A's and no problems. Want to know more about NGMS email me at thedudescousin@msn.com.

I have two children in N Garner Middle School. I am currently looking for another school to place them in. I am not pleased with the overall overview of the school. Teachers don't have the supplies they need. There are not enough books to go around, so students have to share books in school. Because of the shortage, teachers have to photocopy assignments so students can have homework. Needless to say, students don't have homework. I guess it is too time consuming. Paper is another issue. Teachers are limited as to how many copies they can make. They also charge 10 cents per copy. Toner for the copier is the latest issue. My point is , The school is not equipt the the most basic necessities ie: books, paper, toner. It is set up for failure. Teachers can't teach, students won't learn without the basics. No one seems to care.

Terrible! Unsafe and teachers will not return notes or phone calls. Too many fights and not enough discipline!
