We first came to FWCS after trying several area preschool programs. My son wanted to learn to write his name at 3 years old. We were told that wasn't "age appropriate". FWCS is an academic preschool. They have fun AND learn. He loved it. He has excelled academically and creatively. He is now in the 7Th grade competing in Math Olympics, Speech, and Music. When time came, we place our youngest child in preschool. He was NOT academically oriented and did not do as well. We removed him to a "mother's morning out" program and re-enrolled him in Kindergarten. He, too, is excelling academically. Active in Drama, Speech, and Spelling. FWCS is not your every day school. They have high academic standards and strong Christian values. They genuinely care for your child's well being. I would not have my children anywhere else.

Both our children attend First Wesleyan. I am very impressed by the level of education they have received there. First Wesleyan has consistently ranked above the national average in academics. The school has a solid Christian foundation with a staff that seriously cares about the values they are instilling in their students. The teacher to student ratio allow for individual instruction and interaction. The level of teaching experience in the elementary/middle school is exceptional. The school is hosts the regional Speech Meet. They are active participants in Spelling Bee's and Math Olympics. The school offers Drama,Chess, and Science Clubs. Piano and Voice lessons. Volleyball, Golf, and Basketball. AND they have cafeteria that serves a hot lunch. What more can you ask for?

My 7 year old son attended FWCS for their summer program. He has only been in 2 day cares in his life because I am all about stability. But when our previous daycare decided not to take school age children, we were left with the task of changing again. I have NEVER had my child in a facility where there wasn't some sort of problem be it with other children or staff. I can honestly say that his summer experience at FWCS was the MOST PLEASANT experience I have ever encountered. The teachers are so interested in just giving the children a Christ filled environment to learn and grow in. He had a great summer, and I, in turn also had a great summer not having to worry about him. We honestly can't think of enough nice things to say about it. He is now at another center for after school that picks up from his school, but he still says "Mommy, can I please go back to summer camp at First Wesleyan?" That makes my heart happy!!!

We have been at FWCS for 3 yrs now and I have never regretted my decison to send my kids to school there. I always feel like they are in good hands. I also love the family feel that this smaller school has. We have yet to have a teacher that I didn't care for. One of the best parts of FW is the type of parents and children that my kids are surrounded by. We are all very involved and look out for each others children. God plays a tremendous role in our lives and I can see that in the other parents there as well.

I do not consider First Weselyn to be such a Great school! I was told my child needed to repeat K4 b/c she was not ready. I did not agree b/c she was more than ready. She scored just fine on her testing but she was a young 5. She made the deadline and still First Weselyn wanted her to repeat. I believe it is a $ thing instead of for the childs best interest. K4 cost much more than kindergarten. I let her go to kindergarten @ First Weselyn and she did not stay w the teacher very well. Not b/c she didn't get what she was doing it was the teacher did not make it fun enough for a 5yr old. They called me in to say my child would not go on to 1st grade and she would not be reading after Christmas like the rest This was only after 2wks of school they made this prediction!. All of this is going off of my child looking out of the window! So I went to visit other schools public and private. First Weselyn needs a lot of changing when it comes to kindergarten. I moved my child to another Christian School and there was a immediate difference! After 3wk she was reading w no hesitation!! What a difference a "GOOD" teacher can make!

moving my daughter to FWCS was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

My daughter is in the 4 year old class and we have been thrilled with this school! I moved from Los Angeles and was in a $980/month school and the quality and learning experience is comparable. Also, they offer breakfast/lunch and snacks at no extra cost, as well as early 7:30 drop off and late pick up, up to 6pm. I also feel security is better than other schools with key card only entry, cameras and entrance intercom. Add the fact that you get a loving, Christian experience just adds to the charm.

This school is wonderful. My son has attended another private school and FWCS is by far the best. I travel over an 1/2 hour to take my son to this school. The staff is wonderful. The school is very affordable and most of all my son loves this school.
