Gardner Park has always been a great school. The leadership there is excellent. One of the best after school programs in Gaston County also picks up at Gardner Park, Carolina Galaxy. I'm sure you will be very impressed with Gardner Park.

My daughter is in first grade and going to Gardner Park has been a wonderful experience. I never expected to find a faculty and staff so caring and dedicated. Mrs. Matthews and Mr. Kessler (principal and VP) are absolutely amazing. They are so involved with the children and parents and have great relationships with the staff. No parent could ask for a child to be in better hands. It is a very diverse school, which I appreciate. Based on some of the 'data' out there, I had my concerns about sending my daughter there. I am certainly glad I did.

I love Gardner Park elementary school. My daughter is in Mrs. Blake's third grade class this year and I can see how much she loves her students. The new principal, Mrs. Matthews is the best I have ever seen. I feel truly blessed to have my children at a school that cares not only for the student's academics, but also for the student's as people.

Most people will hear mixed emotions when it comes to this school but I will tell you that I love it. The teachers, principle, parents...everyone makes everyone feel welcome. I have 1 child at this school and 1 child at Lowell Elementary and have had such a better response with GP. I love GP- there'e a huge diversity there and I think that's part of it- everyone wants there children to know how to accept ones of all cultures, races, etc...teachers are always willing to help and respond to you and your childs needs. Gardner Park is wonderful!!

I just met with my grandaughter's teacher Ms. Myers and felt that the relationship between teacher and student was above level. Learning and personal relationship means so much, but also the fact that my grandaughter is on kl level and trying to do exactly what is on task for her is of great advantage and to have such a caring teacher and student teacher is wonderful. We had the student/teacher meeting today and everyting was just as it should be with every student involved. Teachers do care and need to be paid accordingly. Ms. Myers, Ms.Horn and Ms. Heath are wonderful and Savana loves them so much.
