Unbelievable care for quality and integrity here at Jesse Wharton! My daughter's Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Leggett, was phenomenal! My rising first-grader can READ BOOKS now and already has the concepts of multiplication in her head. Even though she has had problems with attention in the past, Mrs. Leggett didn't lose steam with us, keeping in good communication throughout the whole year. Come to find out, she was voted teacher of the year! The PTA is also very motivated - last year they had their first carnival! If you enjoy being active in your child's learning, this is the place for you!

I've been very happy with the teaching and leadership. I wouldn't want it any more academically rigorous than it is. My daughter is kept very busy. The facility is well maintained. My only wish is that the after school program were a little stricter, but maybe I ask too much. I recommend this school.

I moved to this state not to long ago, and my two daughters a 2nd grader and a 5th grader went to this school. I was very disappointed in the teacher/parent relationship with my 5th graders teacher. I tried to set up conferences, calls to the teacher with NO answer and NO return calls.

I have been very pleased with Ms. Bridges and her leadership skills with the children, teachers and parents. She is very loving, supportive and friendly and is very approachable and willing to help solve problems parents may be experiencing.

True,Jesse Wharton is a large school, but it has an exciting mix of kids, from the wealthy Lake Jeanette crowd to recent immigrants from Vietnam, Africa, and Mexico, and many in between. Most teachers make a great effort to be warm and nurturing with children, professional with parents, and to teach to the tests, which is what everyone HAS to do. The office staff is super! You could go down the street and pay $10,000 a year, or you can send your kids here and let them meet who the real people in GSO are. Test scores might be a bit higher in the whiter, wealthier schools, but a better public elementary school in Guilford County? Can't think of one.

We were Jesse Wharton parents since the school reopened in it's new location. We never had any trouble until the new principal showed up. Now we are considering homeschooling our younger child. This year has been a great disappointment. I wish you better luck than we had!

I want to say thank you not only to the school but a special thanks to Mrs. Susan Starr 3rd grade teacher. She has been such a blessing to our family. Mrs. Starr works so well with all the students. She has worked with me and my ADHD child and has loved and cared for him like her own and to know your child is in the care of such a wonderful person could not make a mother feel any better. Jesse Wharton you have a wonderful teacher in your hands. I am so thankful my child attends such a wonderful school.
