W Jesse Gurganus Elementary School

Absolutely wonderful school. Staff from teachers, assistants, to principal wonderful. I will miss this school when our son finishes this year and moves up. The principal knows all the kids by name and makes them feel welcome.

My children are in their third year at Gurganus and we love it! I spend several hours a week volunteering throughout the school and have come to know the staff very well. They are wonderful people who genuinly love and care for our children. We do not live in the schools jurisdiction but take the necessary steps to make sure they will finish their elementary education at such a wonderful school.

This elementary school is probably the finest school any of my children have attended. The administration is genuinely concerned and helpful any time you speak with them. The teachers my children have had to date have been fantastic. I have never had to seek out a teacher for a problem, they have sought me out. This school is still fun and has not been stripped down to academics only, making it an incredibly fun school to attend as a child. Their academics do not suffer for it but are enhanced by it. It reminds me of how schools were 30 years ago when I was growing up before all of the insanity. I feel confident that my children are safe when I send them to school in the morning. I chose my home based on this elementary school's jurisdiction. I can't say enough good things about Gurganus El.

Gurganus is a top-notch elementary school! The teachers are dedicated and loving. My son has had a wonderful experience there! Mr. Williams and Mr. Gainey have been so helpful with any questions I have had. We are blessed to be attending such a fine school!

Being a military family i have delt with 4 different Elementary schools. W.J. Gurganus makes the parents and students feel important and involved. They go the extra mile not only to teach your kids but to care for them as individuals as well.
