I graduated from Hendersonville Christian School after attending for a number of years. As far as I'm concerned the school is a good school. Most of the kids will tell you that being in such a small school, everyone knows your business and there is drama. But I don't think it's anywhere near the degree of the drama in public schools. At HCS, the teachers actually care about their students and they aren't just another and paper to grade. I still have 3 siblings in the school right now and they all have been there since K-5 and love it. The school has gone above and beyond to make special accomodations for my brother to help him learn at his own level and his own pace, while working through his many disabilities. He finally learned to read at 11 years old. To sit and listen to him read now is incredible. For that alone, I am eternally grateful.

Hendersonville Christian School offers a Christ-centered, academically challenging curriculum for students in grades K4 through 12. Class sizes are optimum for learning. The school also has foreign exchange students from several countries each year in the Upper School. The school has outstanding Fine Arts and Athletic programs. Our family is so pleased to be a part of HCS and all they have to offer.

Switching from public schools to a private school was a big change, but the students and teachers at Hendersonville Christian made it the best decision I have ever made. The academics are excellent and the small classroom settings make learning easier, The sports programs encourage students to grow and work as a team. The students are positive role models and everyone goes out of their way to make people feel welcome. Students at this school grow in Christ and are prepared to be witnesses for his glory.

Hendersonville Christian School has recently undergone many positive changes. An increased ability in meeting needs of students with learning differences as well as continuing a strong college prep program. HCS grads excell in both under graduate and graduate programs. Current HCS students represent the school philosophy well, there is a uniform dress code and a very good spirit in the hall ways. Facilities are quality and well kept. Physical security is addressed with state of the art cameras and magnetic lock entry. The addmission policy is fair but firm. Not everyone who applies is addmitted. Not a classical education but clearly a quality education. Worth checking out!

Hendersonville Christian School, recently renamed, offers a high standard of education and prepares children for college. Many of our graduates have been accepted and graduated from some of the finest North Carolina colleges. HCS reaches, trains and teaches the 'whole person.' We offer something the public school can't--the opportunity and encouragement for spiritual growth as well as academic growth. I am a proud parent of a recent graduste of HCS and currently have a 10th grader enrolled there. To me, there is no other choice. Ronda McKinney

My child has attended Faith Christian School and has been at a public school for two years, and is doing much, much better. Why? Because the school does not have teachers who know how teach children with special needs, and my child's needs were not severe. My Child's self esteem suffered greatly one year, simply because a particular teacher did not know how to handle/teach a child who had these learning differences, and expected every child in her classroom to be at the same level. Private schools do not have to go by any laws like public schools do. This teacher would not make any accommadations for my child what so ever, even after getting a diagnoses of the disorder that was present. Other teachers in the past have been great, but if your child has any special needs, there are certain teacher/s who will not help. Not worth the high tuition either!

I have been involved with this school for 16 years. I have children who have graduated from the county system so I can look at this from both sides of the street. My family is not wealthy so spending the extra money every month was something to take seriously. The new car and some of the eating out etc.would not happen but when we look back at the small sacrifice we made compared to the gains the children and our family received we are way ahead. Small classes, great teachers, loving and caring staff and teachers, an enviroment(not perfect)but very good to learn and grow in,great sports(for our size)and all the extra's,what else could you ask for! Come by and try us we may be just the place your family needs.

Faith christian School has done wonders for our children! The teacher's give such great personal attention and caring instruction. We love the positive environment which the school provides for our kids at Faith. Sure, there are some limitations that a small school has in that it doesn't offer all that a public tax supported program can offer, however, when we consider the big picture of the positive environment, the decision to keep our kids there is a no-brainer. Academically, we can only speak from our own experience, which is that our kids get high marks, test above 95 %ile as compared to the public system. We hear that Faith graduates have no problem at all with acceptance to universities and colleges, and are often recipients of attractive scholarships as well. I highly recommend Faith Christian School as a great choice for private education!

I have been associated with Faith Christian School for the past 15 years. As of now I have one son going into the 6th grade, and one son who just graduated. I find the quality of education at the high end of the scale, as the teaching staff is excellent. The schools mission statement tells the whole story, 'Faith Christian School, develops, equips, and challanges the whole person for the glory of God.' Faith Christian School offers the community, dedicated teachers, a safe and loving environment, K-12 education with a Christian world view, is actively involved missions and community service, and over 75% of the High School graduates go on to college. Finally the school provides a comprehensive sports and fine arts program. This may sound like a add compain but this shows why my wife and I love this school!

Six of my children have attended Faith Christian School. Three have graduated and attended college with majors in Missions, Mass Communication and English. These three have received college credit for classes they attended at Faith and credit for testing out of classes at the college. My son Ryan went on a mission trip to Mexico during the summer with the school which has changed his outlook and appreciation of the smaller things in life. My husband and I have volunteered many hours with the school and love the students there. We don't find perfection; we do see love and commitment. We see qualities in these students as they grow and commit their lives to Christ in an atmosphere that is conducive to that. Faith excells in extra-curricular activities especially for its size. We love this school and love investing into it. There is a future in the lives of these children!!
