We just moved to the area and are impressed with Sugarloaf Elementary School. Our 1st grader there loves his teacher and classmates and is excited to go to school every day. Communication from school to home is good, the fieldtrips and activities are well planned by school staff, and our child has been successful with learning, behavior and participation. Only one concern from our personal experiences: the school's main office/reception area does not offer a friendly or particulary helpful atmosphere... neither to adults or students.

I felt the school was above average. Sure my son had a lot of homework for kindergarten but he actually knew everything he needed to know by the middle of the year. My son loved his teachers. I liked that the school is brand new and seemed very safe being tucked back away from the main road with farm land surrounding it. The school does seem to need more money and parents can't always contribute to every cause, but most public schools are not getting the funds they need either.
