The embers of the dreams of the Balfour students emit a glow of hope. Tended by the care and support of the Balfour educators, the embers possess the ability to explode into flames of possibility.

Balfour Education Center is a great springboard for those students who don't fit into a public school and their parents can't afford private school. The teachers are wonderful and experienced in teaching these students.

The students who attend Balfour have all kinds of personal and family obstacles to overcome. Just attending school is a huge accomplishment for them! And for some of them, sadly, school is the safest place they will be all day. These guys deserve more than they have. In these economic times, this school is the last to receive funding for various reasons. $20K would make a huge impact on their experience of education... and the recognition that they are worth it!

Balfour is an alternative education setting that provides students with a second or third or fourth chance to succeed in school. Some of these kids would be lost w/o this school.

This school is not as great as they say it is, the food is not good, the teachers are stricked and if you do one little thing wrong you get 4 days of cstop or suspended, all you have to do is look at a teacher wrong.
