My daughter had a severe learning disability when she enrolled in the Enrichment Center in the 6th grade. She is graduating as one of the top 10 students in her high school graduating class and is planning to attend NC State school of design this coming fall, need I say more! Very very pleased and worth every penny !

This is a good school and our kids have attended since kindergarten. The academics are excellent; however, if your child wants to play basketball on the high school level, go somewhere else. They import top players starting in the 9th and 10th grades and your kids will be left passing out towels. Just WIN BABY WIN? Apparently so.

This is an excellent school. My son graduated from there and so will his children. Excellent balance between academics, athletics, art and college prep. The teachers care and put forth a great Christian example. This is a 5 star school...

My two children have been encouraged and challenged both academically and spiritually at Wesleyan. The sports and fine arts programs are nothing short than top notch. The teachers and administrators are awesome and I know they love my kids. They are always looking for ways to improve the school. They have awesome plans for the future and I can't imagine a better environment for my kids then at Wesleyan.

Wesleyan is a good school for education most definitely. But I will be the first to tell you that it's not so Christian. Last year my daughter was in 7th grade at WCA. She was surrounded by people with no conscious. The girls there were vicious and talked behind your back EVEN if they told you they were your friends. The guys always picked on the new students that would come to the school. It was so bad til two of our students left. Also racial diversity is an issue. There are no African-American, Hispanic, or Asian teachers AT ALL. I am very disappointed in WCA and I cant wait for my daughter to graduate. You better make sure your child has a tough skin or else they won't make it.

Wesleyan is a top-notch facility that feels like 'family' as soon as you enroll. The Christian environment has had a profound effect on my son (daycare age), and helped strengthen the values we have been instilling at home of prayer, fellowship, compassion. We are very happy with the results and our son LOVES going to 'school' because he enjoys his time there so much.

My daughter has Auditory Processing Disorder and she has received WONDERFUL resource. Within 3 months she went from not reading at all to reading most anything age appropriate. I have found the teachers to be very helpful and understanding. If you think the teacher/child ratio is unacceptable check out public schools where they have no assistant even for kindergarten, 20+ 5 year olds to one teacher. We make sacrifices to send our children to Wesleyan, but their education is worth it.

We have a second grader at WCA and have been very pleased. This is his first year with WCA and the curriculum, class structure, approach to discipline, and teachers have all been a significant improvement over his previous school. Our son has ADHD and the consistent teaching approach and behavioral expectations help him to focus and make him work to control his impulses. It is a challenging school - they have high standards but we have found everyone to be encouraging and helpful.

I love WCA I am a student and there is tons of stuff to do. The new EC program is expanding rapidly. My parents are always doing something to help the school and love it!I have learned so much and hoping to learn more. This school is hard and expensive but it is worth it! The music program is the best, i know your kids will love it. Everything to taking a test comes from a Godly prespective. The teachers are very knowlegable and love each child. Bad behavior is not allowed and if you do behave the proper consequent will be issued. All the principles are very funny but are very professional too. I love this school and would NEVER change for anything!

I learn so much, and I am even in a Christian enviroment! Wesleyan offers regular, honors, and AP courses in high school. In middle school, you can even take higher courses in math! Wesleyan's students are all well-behaved, and intelligent, and if your child struggles in school, Wesleyan has a resource center, and an enrichment center! There is hardly ANYTHING wrong with Wesleyan Christian Academy!

This School Is wonderful! I'm a graduate and I would recommend Wesleyan to anyone. I feel as if the preparation and ground work laid by the teachers at Wesleyan have helped prepare me for life's challenges. Thanks Weleyan for all you do and all you help students learn I appreciate your efforts to ensure that all students succeed! I Love you all!

My child attends WCA and we have been unhappy with it. My child has ADHD and no individualized work plan or behavior modifiaction has been given so that my child would be better integrated within the school. Private schools are NOT required to work with your child on an indiviualized work plan, as are public schools. I feel my child's individual learning needs have not been met. I have been severly disappointed. Perhaps with the new resource center, WCA can begin to meet the needs of parents and their children who suffer from ADHD or ADD. I also feel the class sizes are too large to have sufficient individualized attention. The WCA environment could gain more families by listening to the ones they have, and choosing to meet their different needs, so that all involved benefit.

This school is just great! If you get to the decision to which school you should send your could it should be this school. The teachers are great and the kids can really learn a lot. There are even some AP courses for seniors as well. I was an exchange student from Germany at this school and I really liked it I would go there again every time.

This is a great school! It's not always easy to find a school that is a Christian school and a college prep school. The school offers quite a few AP courses. Many of the students have received recognition/honors in academics and community involvement. The school's atmosphere is conducive for accelerated learning. The high school guidance counselor is phenomenal! She diligently works with each high school student to ensure that they are prepared for college.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
