We had a wonderful experience at southview. My child had a problem with a teacher and I called and had a meeting the next day and it was resolved that day. My child a great year.

South View Middle is a terrible school! The Vice Principal is one-dimensional and thick-skinned. Both Principals are like prison wardens and the children are treated like convicts. This school is inadequate and the new Principal is lackadaisical. The teachers will not alert you when your child is neglecting in class work. The only major concern of this school is the uniforms. A suggestion, how about teaching the children! To the Superintendent, find a Principal and Vice Principal that is competent and can actually manage a school. I called and had meetings with the teachers in addition to the Vice Principal and Principal in regards to the unfairness my child received there. No one at the school cares about the wellbeing of the children and the inequality at that school is very obvious. Nonetheless, this is just what I went through with my child. I as a parent should have done more research before placing my child there.

I feel as a student that they care more about the dress code and the behavior (which is a very important thing I know) then the actual learning itself.

I had a lot of fun at this school, but entering high school now I realized I wasn't really prepared.

I have had a great experience with SVMS. I filled out a 'will call you' form and I was called back promtly with in 24 hours. The staff went way beyond the call of duty to help me with my request and help my daughter. I am so thankful for their efforts. The staff is very professional and Mrs Tatum, the principal, does seem to really enjoy her job.

Even though I read all the reviews on all the schools before choosing this one, I really chose it for the qualities of the high school. My son's lowest grade on the last two report card was a 96 and four of the grades were 100's. He is smart. The teachers don't reward him, they seem to punish him. When he finishes his work early, they make him do the other kids work. He gets put on group projects with others who don't do anything and then they all get his A. If you know your child will never be more than a burger flipper, then go for it, take the free ride. If your child is gifted and headed far, don't let this school pull them down. Oh, don't ever fill out the 'will call you back' form, they never do.

Southveiw school seems to be worried more on how the kids behave than their grades and how they can improve some kid by helping them to be where they need be.

If a parent is looking for a good school where a kid and excel this is the school you want. Ms. Tatum is an outstanding principal who loves her job and the kids.

Terrible school! parents don't send your children to this school. Leadership in this school is awful/rude. They do not listen the children or parents. Academics are awful, they don't tell you your child may be failing until it's too late.
