cgms is awesome. they help all the kids that need it and they're smacking down on bullying. my child is on the pirates 7th grade team Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Joyce, Mr. Sikarske, and Mrs. Newesome are great teachers and help student's problems individually. also i love their classes relate to each other and my kid saw the teachers having a meeting so they are talking to each other. they are all friends with each other and talk and laugh so i think the teachers are sometimes doing a better job than me!

I think Chestnut Grove is a great middle school the quality of the academics programs are great. The availability of the sports and music is great but you have to be in 7th or 8th grade to play sport's.The music is fine if your child passes the test in elementary school to be in band. If your child did not pass then they can not be in the music program as far as I know now I maybe wrong. My child passed but my child did not want to be in Band. So you would have to look into that.

I feel that overall, CGMS is a good school but there so called policy against bullying is a load of manure. My child was bullied all through 6th grade and is dreading to go back this year. This was brought to the attention of the principal and guidance counselor. They talked to the students and it stopped for a day or 2 but then got worse. I hope that this year things can change and he can have a good safe year.

My children have been going to chestnut grove for a long time. Each time I never had a problem. The teachers are very friendly, in fact I even became good friends with one of my childs teahers. I love watching my kids play sports at cgms and they always seem to have fun doing so. Also my child is in the cgms band and plays the flute. She says band class has a good vibe and is a fun class. Thay always seem to win when they compete too! I truely do think Chestnut Grove Middle School is a ' school of excellence '.
