Amazing School! I am a parent of two very happy kids that attend LaFayette Elementary School! They were in Kindergarten this past school year and loved every minute of it! Their teacher and assistant was nothing short of outstanding, the staff made them feel comfortable and important each day! As a parent I always felt informed and knew that each day our kids were going to be safe and learn a ton! I appreciate all the hard work the staff puts into the school! Looking forward to next school year! =)

I am very dissappointed with this school. I have never seen so much ignorance in all my life. The principle is a joke. This school has really gone down hill since they got this new principle. This school says they have zero tollerance for bullies and yet I called and have gone down numerous times over the past month and nothing has been done to solve the problem. My child comes home everyday distraught by the way she has been treated. I will just be glad when this school year is over!

I think Lafayette is such a wonderful school ! The teachers are top notch and Ms. Yates does a terrific job of looking out for the needs of the students. When we first moved here we passed up a neighorhood we liked a little better because it was'nt in the Lafayette school district, that's what a great school this is !

I have 5 grandchildren at Lafayette. I moved from Cleveland Springs area just so they could attend the school that we raised our daughters at. We love that all the Staff knows your children and calls them by name.It is a hometown school with exceptional teachers and is truly a school of high standards. My family loves you Lafayette.

The teachers at this school have been a true blessing. My daughter just finished kindergarten and her teacher was great with communicating with us, and I feel she truly cared about not only my daughter, but the other kids in her class as well. My nephew also attends this school, and his third grade teacher, even being new, was nice and caring and really helped him adjust to his new school. She gave him extra challenging work, since he is academically advanced in math. Through her encouragement he finally learned to like reading. The principal was also great. She was not only dedicated to the school, she actually cares about her students. This school is great!!!! Anyone looking to move to Harnett county should know that Lafayette is the best school in the county. It not only has the highest test scores, it also has the highest volunteer hours.

I have to children attending Lafayette, 1 in Kindergarten and 1 in 2nd Grade. I am extremely pleased with both teachers. They have demonstrated true concern for my childs education. I feel my children get a good balance of instructional time and resource time everyday and every week. It's really nice to see Ms. Yates (their principle) walking the halls and visiting classrooms. She is very approachable and child-friendly. I feel that it is very important that the administration be out and about during the course of the day to relate to the children and to have conversation with all, children and staff. I have never been around a school that was so blessed with parent involvement. Teachers get 1 duty-free lunch a month because of the generous time of parent volunteers. That says alot! I give Lafayette a 5 Star.

My son is in the 3rd grade. I truly think he doesn't get enough homework to do. I think the curriculum can be a bit more stimulating. Sonya Yates is the Principle now at the school.

This school has some of the best test scores in the county, but it also has a wonderful principal and parent base. My child has done very well at Lafayette.
