Ever since I had started to complain about the bullying that gose on the bus and in the school the staff at Burns middle school has made my child out to be the troubled child and Burns high school, who is in charge of the school buses refuse to turn over information to press charges on other students who has slaped and broke my childs glasses on the bus.

My son is an eighth grade student and athlete at BMS and I think that the teachers and staff here are wonderful. They are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. I am not sure what the problem is with the other parent who have posted things on this site, but they have not had the same experience that my family has had at Burns. The teachers always fo the extra mile to help the students and Mr. Grigg is one of the best leaders a school could have. i highly recommend this school to anyone in Cleveland County that is looking for a safe ,friendly, and helpful place for thier kids to go to school.

I have had 4 other children come through Burns Middle School in the 90's and early 2000 and now my youngest son attends there. With my first four I thought the school was pretty good and was generally happy with the experience my children had. However, now I have changed my mind. Since enrollment the staff has been unfriendly and curt. They are not welcoming to the parents like before thus creating a negative atmosphere. To date I have had a bad experiance with BMS and feel sure this will be my son's last year there.

I feel that even though this the beginning of school my child is not getting the help she has requested from the teacher in her class its the only area she seems to have a problem with and I don't believe when I go to ask for this help they will provide it. And I have always been involved with my child school more then some think I should but I want the best that I can give her and I believe that our teachers are paid to do just that

There are too many groups. I feel that these people should be pulled from the schools so the children that care about their education can go to school and feel safe. Once all of that is cleaned up out of the school maybe the children that want to be there can focus more on school and not worry about watching their backs.
