Having just entered my child this year as a second grader, we couldn't be more pleased with the Roger Bacon Academy's Charter Day School in Leland. He was individually assessed and was put in groups that allowed him to succeed beyond what we thought he could! Great campus atmosphere and excellent teaching staff, the administration is to be commended for giving parents a choice in public education!

Our son has attened Charter Day School for two years, and we have had nothing but a postive experience! His teachers have been the key to his love of school, and they are constantly encouraging him to succeed. We drive over 30 miles each way to have our son attend Charter Day School and don't mind a bit because we know he is getting the best education experience in this area!

This school is over rated. My son has some disabilities in which I had to fight to get him help and even file a compliant at state level and won, Still there are issues with getting him the help he needs. Bullying is bad as well, the Administration brushes it off so they don't have to record the truth. Not all of the teachers are good and nice, even some of the subs are very mean. Also, I understand the kids having to clean up around their desks, but being made to clean the entire floor by hand before you can go to recess is ridiculous. They care more about how your child scores on tests than if they retain the information being taught. HIGH academic pressure. As the grade goes up they are also in school for longer days than other schools. I am removing my child from this school.

I was a little disappointed when my son attended this school for Kindergarten. My son has a disability and the only help we got from the school was to put him in the front of the class. There were no additional testing done for him to see what environment would suit his educational needs. Since we took him out and put him in Town Creek Elemantary, he as excelled! We had testing done, and specialists are available on campus for his disability.

Wonderful school. We could not be more pleased with the academics. I was told my daughter would be reading by Christmas (Kindergarten) and she was! I am also amazed at her math skills! The staff is wonderful!

We love Charter Day School in Brunswick County. My oldest will be going to the middle school this school year. Both of my children have attended CDS since kindergarten. We love the year-round schedule. The teachers truly care about the students. Any teacher that doesn't would certainly be asked to leave by administration. There is no bus service and no cafeteria but that probably means more funds for academics and extracurricular activities. I feel, because parents have to work out transportation and lunches, I know my children are going to school with other children whose parents are willing to make personal sacrifices to send their children to the school that offers the best academic education. We do wish they had an afterschool soccer program like they do for football.

Thanks RBA we also have been with you for 8 years now looking forward to makeing it nine next year. We could use another road for middle school but other than that I couldn't ask for a better school all of the teachers and staff are great.

A great K-8 school, with great teachers, and a wonderful principal. RBA also offers a very well run, Pop Warner football and cheerleading program, and an outstanding music program. Our kids have gone there for many years, and we have been very pleased.
