The school staff really care about the kids, and the parents too. They have come to realize, that when a family is hurting( Financially, and other ways) that it truely effects how the child is going to do in school. So what this school staff does is reach out and support these families, by offering emotional support, and by contacting local Churches in our area for financial support, especially at Christmas time when many of these families have NOTHING for christmas, and some not even food. But , thru the school, these families get food from Church's like, North Lexington Baptist Church's Food outreach program, and donations for Christmas gifts, not just for that particular child but the whole family.Great Job Picket School. When you think with your Heart, and not with the mind, good thinks will happen.
