Great School. I have been going to this school for 12 years because i started at the age of two and am going into the eigth grade. I love this school the teachers are great. I would recommend this school more than any other school I know of.
My mother was the first kindergarten teacher at ugcs. I did not have the good fortune of attending, because i was ahead of the grades as they were added. So when my husband and i had children and had to decide where to send them we used educated judgment on the graduates of the school. We wanted to be sure that the children would receive a top notch education. We knew the spiritual leadership was there. We have not been dissappointed. The teachers are caring, but strict, gentle, yet strong. The love of christ is definitely evident. Our children have all the opportunities that any public school student would have. Our son graduated valedictorian of his class. Our daughter is on the same track. They also have chances for athletic scholarships, since they have more chances to play in a smaller school. Parents just have to work a little harder. Excellent.
A school determined to live up to its name...a Christian school. Dedicated teachers, faculty, and staff commited to helping students find God's will in their lives. Strong athletic programs that foster cooperation and using God given abilities. Strong support from the parent church as well. The school continues to seek to improve their academic platforms and prepare graduates for college and life beyond high school.
Honestly Union Grove was not a very good school for me. Popularity is based on athletic ability, although I played sports I don't believe people should be judged if they don't play them. I also believe the emphasize athletics more than academics and that is a problem. Going to Union Grove will not prepare someone for college. The student body doesn't meet the standards that a christian school should have.
This school places more emphasis on religion than academics. Although I do believe that religion should play a large part in a child's life, I do not believe it should dominate their academics. This school should try to balance it out a little more. Prepare the child for real life, as well as their spiritual path.
As a grandparent with two grandchildren at Union Grove Christian School, I am very pleased with the Christian emphasis that is instilled in all the activities at the school. I would recommend any parent sending their child to Union Grove Christian School.
Great school. Great athletic department. Quality teachers, particularly high school.
Our son is in K-4 with Mrs. Nations as his teacher. He has learned so much in the past couple of months that my husband and I are so impressed. He used to say that he would never go to school but since he started in August not once has he complained about going, actually he complained when he was on break because he couldn't go. The programs there are wonderful and we as parents are encouraged to come and be a part of it. He looks so forward to the day that he has gym class and chapel day. It is wonderful to hear my 4 year tell be about chapel and what all he learned. It is a wonderful enviroment and I look forward to the upcoming years at Union Grove Christian School.
Our child is in the pre-K program at the school. We have been pleased and amazed at all she has learned. She is excited about school and never complains about going. She brings home lots of examples of her work and is doing well. She even knows the names of the gym teacher, principal and librarian. Her teacher is incredible! The children are obedient and excited about participating in whatever tasks she has for them. Parents are encouraged to be involved in school activities. We couldn't be more pleased!
Great school. The kids are very kind to each other. Great group of kids with great, christ-like attitudes. Friendly, close knit group. Children learn respect and responsibility for teachers, parents and each other. Very strong accademic standards. High emphasis on bible verse memorization and chirstian character development.
