It's important to remember that this is an alternative school. This is your daughter's last chance to stay in public school. The principal has to uphold the highest level of discipline, as he is trying to teach children respect and give them a chance to succeed in the regular school setting. I know the teachers at Star are dedicated as is the principal. Parents should be thankful that they have this opportunity for their child to get another chance while learning self control in a small class setting

I have a student in school here. The class size is small and the teachers work great with each student. All the teachers seem to take interest in my daughter.I have visited the school on several occasions and met all my daughter's teachers and most of them seemed very interested in my daughters education, however the principal wants to suspend her for every little minor thing she does. She can't learn anything if she's suspended all the time. Also the police officer that guards the school is a big problem-he instigates the students into arguments with him by getting into their private lives with him-he asks my daughter about her boyfriend which is none of his concern. I caught him yelling at my daughter as if he was a student instead of a police officer. He is not a good example at all for a school.
