Please take my word for it. Bullying will not only be tolerated, it will be embraced. NONE of my other children will attend this school after the experience we had with our oldest child. If I had not taken action for my child, she would be a statistic by now. She's the happiest I've seen her in ages, and all it took was taking her OUT of Holbrook. Not to mention how much more she is learning now than she was constantly worried about the threats and the taunts that followed her on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, though. If you have a cheerleader type or a football player, they will do fine here. The teachers bend over backwards for those kids.

I am disgusted how some of the teachers rate at this school. Many will not keep you informed of what is going on w/your child. They allow children to turn in work late & give them full credit. Will not take the time to help your child if they need it. I was specifically told by one teacher that it was not their job to teach the kids; it's to get them through the system. They say they will help and do things to your face but then they will DO NOTHING. If you really care if your child learns anything this is not the school for them. If you want them to skate through the system then this might be the school for them. Overall I am disgusted w/ the uncaring staff and teachers. There are a few good teachers but not many.

Holbrook is a great school. They have great academic programs for the children. My daughter is in band. She loves it.The teachers are wonderful and they keep you informed about what is going on with your child at all times. My child is a.D.H.D. And so they have there hands full with her ,but they do a great job. I really think that this is an outstanding school and you will love it too.All of the staff at this school are very attentave when it comes to your needs. I'm really glad that my child attends this school. You can feel safe that your child will be taken care of too. There is always a police officer at the school. If hes not there at a certain time, you can guarantee that he will be back in a few minutes.

I agree, Holbrook is a wonderful school and i will indeed miss it when i go to high school. Our athletics are excellent, we have a variety of clubs, and the students take a lot of pride in our school and thats what its all about at Holbrook: Lion Pride

Great academics and fundamentals; though there is a disconnect between levels. Extracurriculars are superb. I would like to see more parent involvement.

I'd Like to add on to what I said, Not only is it a great school. It is one of those schools where you find friendships that last forever, those include ones with the teachers. I still email my teachers. Now that is a great school.
