MHS seems to always strive for excellence. They require lot from their students.
Parent involvement is very low. Academically, the Math and Science departments are very well organized and have quality teachers capable and willing to teach students. The English department is above average, while the Social Studies department is an absolute joke. Overall, a quality education can be attained if a student is willing to put forth the effort. There is an outstanding Navy Jr. ROTC program at the school.
