My opinion has changed completely since Feb/2011. With the change in principals this year, Madison is a completely different atmosphere for everyone! Students, parents and staff all seem happier and more involved. Students are being held accountable for their behavior and praised for their accomplishments, it's absolutely wonderful!!! There is accountability, goals, praise, communication, encouragement, smiling, and a presence of strong leadership. She had a hard job and has gone beyond meeting the challenge!
My daughter, now in high school, had a great experience at Madison. My son is currently at Madison and there's been alot of changes in the years between my daughter and son. The current principal has very poor people and leadership skills. I've had no problems with the teachers. Keeping in mind the poor leadership they have, I think they're doing all they can! Part of the reason for low parent participation is the principal!
I have 2 kids currently attending Madison Elementary, this is their first year at this school and I am not at all pleased with the school, principal, or teachers. Poor communication to parents, rude manner of speaking with the kids and parents. Kids do not need to be embarrased in front of other kids because of a mistake made or they need assistance on a question, situation, or subject.
I have daughter who went to madison she is now in high school . And a son who now is in middle school. And a daughter going to madison this year for k.We have been dealing with this school for years I have know problems with this school.Friendly staff,I think madison is a great school
My child has only been at Madison a short time and all I hear from her is bad news. The teachers seem to be very rude to their students. I noticed that the first day. Poor communication to parents about students progress.
I have a child in kindergarten at Madison. We will not be returning for 1st grade. They do eat in the classrooms most days. Kindergarten is in trailers. Some of the staff speak to the children rudely and harsh. This is not a place where I want my child spending the next 5 years, 1 was enough!!
This school has a very unfriendly and incompetent principal that allows her employees to speak to the kids in a very unprofessional manner. This school does not have a gym and the kids eat in the classrooms when they cannot have P.E. outside. I have not been impressed with the education my child has recieved.
