I could not be more happy with TCS. Each teacher that my child has had given me constant feedback regarding not only academic and disciplinary issues, but also spiritual concerns and comments. When desired or needed, there is so much extra and after school attention given to help my daughter. I have never been charged any extra fees for private tutoring. There seems to be no limits to the teachers willingness to help. I would advise anyone considering a Christian school to just go by the school and see for yourself. Before enrolling our daughter, I gained personal confidence by speaking with the administration and teachers. Even parents of other students were readily eager to help me by sharing their own experiences. TCS is the best!

My children (3rd and 8th graders) are new students this year at TCS, previously from Weddington schools. We have been delighted with TCS. In my opinion, the excellent teachers and environment at TCS provide tremendous support for the development of the "whole child". This school is small but it is definately a gem of a school! I was also amazed at how overall, students are kind, thoughtful, respectful and very well mannered... something that unfortunately is not as common these days. I love the fact that they have a zero bullying policy... and they mean ZERO! Best of all, my children look forward to going to school and have excelled beyond my expectations. Our hearts are thankful! I highly recommend TCS!

This post is in response to the disgruntled parent who insinuated that other positive reviews were as a result of paid endorsements. As a parent, who has no affiliation with the school other than sending my child there, I can tell you that I was not paid for this review. My son has been attending TCS for several years, and my husband and I (we are educators) continue to be pleased with the level of instruction that he is receiving. My son receives weekly progress reports, engages in meaningful assignments, and is excelling in all his subjects. In addition, we do not have to deal with discipline issues or incompetence of staff and teachers unlike his time at a local public school prior to enrolling at TCS. My husband and I do not regret sending our son to TCS because he is challenged more, and he has teachers who really care about his progress. The teachers believe in communicating with the parents. My son s current teacher even sends text messages and weekly e-mail reports to keep us informed of any issues or class projects. I m sorry that this parent had a bad experience, but the review is misleading and not a true depiction of TCS. Thank you for your time.

Seems like the previous reviews were written by someone getting paid to write them! I had two of my children going to this school, and I regret ever taking them here. You think paying $300.00 a month will guarantee your child to have a good education? Think again!! It goes like this- you pay the school, drop-off and pick-up your child to and from school, and do all the teaching at home afterwards! My child didn't know a single letter of the alphabet, after three months of going there; yet they were teaching everyone cursive (in kindergarten)!!! Take my word, and send your child to a different school. Or at least consider paying monthly, not the whole balance right away; Then you can always withdraw your child from school if you don't like it.

Wow, another great year. I cannot tell how thankful I am for TCS. The staff are very prompt to report not only academic, but also behavioral problems to me. I have my children enrolled in TCS to not only to receive a great education, but also to help train my children in the most important areas to me: their spiritual life, and their character. When problems arise, they are always 100% supportive of corrective measures that I have desired and also give me wisdom and ideas from their perspective. My children could not be in a more loving environment, other than home. I am thankful that this school provides a place where my children can be educated in harmony with our family values. I am amazed at how the teachers are always willing to stay after school to give our children FREE tutoring whenever it is needed. To rate this school 5 stars is simply not enough. I could not be more pleased with the academic and spiritual climate in which my children are spending much of their life.

My children have grown so much in the three years we have attended here. Not only have they received a superior education, which has helped them excel in their academics, but they have also learned valuable life skills in a safe, nurturing environment.

My child has received acceptance, love, loving discipline, and positive encouragement all of which have helped him transition from home-school to school. He comes home now and when it is time to do his homework, he does it on his own without struggling. Academically, TCS is ahead. Socially, TCS is superior with its staff and student body always offering friendship, kindness, and student affirmation. TCS puts God first, which creates the school's nurturing environment. I pray the Lord blesses TCS with many more students!

I just loved my time as a student at Tabernacle Christian School. I will always treasure the strong Bible based education that I received there 1st through 12th grade. While I was in school there I knew that my teachers not only cared about my education but also they cared about me as a person. TCS was a home away from home for me.

I had the honor of being a student at Tabernacle Christian School 1st through 12th grade. While a student there I was able to participate in sports, Beta club, and of course student body elections. I felt completely prepared for college and loved the safe, familial atmosphere TCS provided for me as a student.

I attended Tabernacle Christian School K-4 through 12th grade and I enjoyed the fact that I could be friends with everybody in my class. It was also nice knowing that the teachers were there for me. If I ever needed extra help a teacher was there and ready to help me succeed, all I had to do was ask. My high school math teacher was a big help in helping me prepare for the SATs. I love TCS!

My children have been to this school for many years and I have been very impressed. The teachers really love the children and show genuine concern for each and every child. The love of God shows in their lives and their work. My children have had nothing but good to say about all of their teachers. The teachers communicate very well with parents and are ALWAYS willing to help students and parents in any way. If you are looking for a good , Godly enviroment for your children, a place where they are loved and cared for, a place where they will learn about the Lord and excel academically, then TCS is the place for your child!

Our child was once in public school that was part of a failing county system, according to test scores compared to state average, and I was appalled that the children were not encourage to use phonics, learn cursive writing, basic math etc. in their daily activities. I felt that my child was not challenged enough, and the discipline issues were not any better. My child endured bullying and now that he is attending TCS, he is happier and excelling in all his subjects. He learned to write in cursive in 3 months and continues to excel in his reading...thanks to phonics, and math is his favorite subject. In addition, the tuition is very affordable and the staff members and teachers are very caring. I do not regret taking my child out of the public school system and placing him here at TCS. Go Rams!

I am totally satisfied with the education that my children have received at TCS. For a low tuition of under $3,100 and many discounts including a $1,500 referral credit, it is very difficult to see how one could accuse this school of being money hungry, especially when considering that NC State schools get funds of $7,900 per student per year. If the issue would be that of fundraisng, what school doesn't implement this (even those charging over $15,000 per year)? As I attended public schools years ago, we had many fundraisers with which we were encouraged to participate. The quality of education that my children received was exceptional. The one on one attention that they received was second to none.

I love TCS!! It was the best possible place to put my children. I not only feel my children were well prepared for college academically ( Phi Eta Sigma, President's List), but they were prepared spiritually as well. I believe the teachers have a heart of compassion for ALL their students. Go Rams!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
