My daughter has attended this school from k-2. I feel like she has been provided an excellent education. I think the administration has done a great job.

This school lacks an administration that has the knowledge of how to deliver effective instruction and control behavior.

I have two children who have attended Pinewood for the past year and a half. Last year we were not impressed, and quite frustrated as the principal did not seem to want to work with us in changing classrooms for our oldest son. This year is a completely different story, new principal, great communication! Both of my boys are in the AIG program, and Ms. Ramsey is fantasic! Mrs. Kush and Mrs. Scott have worked very hard this year to make sure they are not bored and are constantly being challenged. My only concern is with Saxon math, the curriculum seems to only teach through repetition and does not teach the children true problem solving. I wish we could get a different math program. Parental involvement seems to be minimal, I hope to see more parents get involved in the children's education.

Excellent teachers. Cafeteria lacks good, nutritional food. Many days the kids are served leftovers with no discounting.

I am a real estate broker and my son has been going to this school for 5 years. Today was the first day he had ever seen a fight, and he is in the 4th grade! Great school, great teachers, and even though I am looking to buy a bigger house, I will not move out of this area thanks to Pinewood Elementary School's efficiency.

Pinewood Elementary has exceeded expectations! I am so glad that I did not solely rely on test scores because I could not be happier with the education and attention my 1st grader has gotten...Thanks Pinewood Elementary!

My oldest child has been at Pinewood for 4 years and we have been nothing but pleased with his teachers and the administration. Never, have we seen/heard of any violence and bullying is not tolerated. With the new principal there were great changes, but the previous principal did not allow violence or bullying. I have two children and will not move for fear of having to change schools. Pinewood is an excellent school with wonderful teachers and administrators. Any and all problems are resolved and the principal is not only willing to work with parents on their issues, but is eager for parental involvement. The school has a very welcome and warm atmosphere and all staff members encourage students to succeed. From the Principal to the custodians, everyone works to help children learn and prosper.

My child is in Ms Luckey's k class. She's happy learning so much, seems very well adusted and supervised. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. My child is biracial and we worried about that at first. But she's fine and I love Pinewood for that.I was shocked when Iread the other reviews. Maybe the school has changed a lot. I dont know. I think the principal is new. Or maybe the bullies are out of elementary by now.But I have been thrilled with my daughters experience so far.She attended pre k in the Charlotte school system. Believe me this is a welcome change.

I send my child to school to learn and this school has so far, been unable to provide an environment that promotes that. Violence and bullying are big problems here.
