Making AYP only means your scores improved from the last school year. HOW CAN YOU BE PROUD OF A READING SCORE OF 53%? THAT IS SO SAD!!!!! THEY "IMPROVED" AND MADE AYP BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS YEAR WAS A SCORE OF 49%. THIS SCHOOL IS SAD!

I think this is a wonderful school with caring teachers and faculty. My daughter has really flourished there.

The school is listed on this site as having 'no recognition'. However, that is NOT the case. Carver Elementary did make AYP (adequate yearly progress) for the 2006-2007 school year and so far this year (2007-2008) they are on progress to make it again. Keep it up, Tigers! This is my first year at Carver and my son is in the 4th grade. I can not think of anything more that the staff at Carver could be doing to make my son's experience here any better. From the custodial staff, the bus drivers, cafeteria staff and the teachers to the administration; there is an amazingly cohesive team effort to educate and prepare the childeren at this school. I can only see things continuing on the road to success at this school.

Carver Elementary made AYP for the first time in history last year. Things are getting better all the time.
