This was the first school I went to and I had some really good memories there, 3rd grade was my last year there (cuz I moved) and the first time we had to start wearing uniform, that was around year 2006, back then the old staff was really caring and everything about that school was great. I havent visited that school in about 6yrs & from what im seeing some of the reviews look bad but trust me the old staff never was like this so im guessing its the new staff and principal thats like this but I did honestly like this school when I went there.
We had several problems at this school this year. Staff is extremely uncaring and unorganized and unfortunately, the school board has done nothing to hold them accountable, nor will they allow a transfer for my children to an alternate school. I will keep my children home next year before I would ever let them set foot on this campus again! I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for quality education and fair treatment as it can not be found here!
I was very excited to be able to move back into the area of Cedar Grove as my daughter had attended previously. Unfortunately, much has changed since her last year there. They are having a hard time organizing the classrooms, my son has been through 3 first grade teachers and several temporary teachers since the year started. The principal is poor at communication and does not take the students and parents concerns into account. It is horrible how this once amazing school has gone so far downhill. I am hoping to be granted a transfer for my children to attend another school.
Did not like this school very much. Teachers seem to have a "i don't care" attitude and the test scores are not very impressive. I took my children out of this school and enrolled them into a privte school. I'd rather pay for the my childrens edcuation than have them suffer another day at this school. My kids went here almost 3 months and I never even seen the principal.
My child went to this school for a very short time before to took her out. I moved so she would not have to attend this school a day longer. I would never subject another one of my children to the experience we had to go through.
I have had three children, three grandchildren, and one newphew to attend Cedar Grove School. There is not another school in district that give more care and love for children. Students learn here! Parents are always welcomed to be involved and do turn out in large numbers for PTO meetings and school program. If your child needs one on one teaching, it's here at Cedar Grove. Small class sizes are a BIG plus. Under the leadership of Mr. Smith, Principal, it couldn't be any other way. One can get the feeling that every child matters, and matters dearly at Cedar Grove.
