I am a student of MHS and I have loved every minute of it. This school is the best county school in Sampson County. I understand that parents are protective of their children and only want the best, so I can see where they are coming from. Every school has its own flaws, as does Midway. But, this school only wants to ensure that the kids here have a great education. 'Excellence is a Tradition' means a lot to the teachers here. These people care and I love Midway. I like the fact that our hallways are not over crowded and that the teachers give help when needed. MHS is a great school.

I am also very disappointed with this school, I agree with the other parents comments on this school is 'who you know'. They are very judgmental and do not help the kids at all. I only wish my children were going to another school. I will be so glad when they finish, I would not back this school up at all. They need to get some people in there that really cares about the kids.

I am very disappointed in the way the principal handles situations. He discussed my child's grades in front of another child, this is not suppose to happen. Also had a problem with another child since last year and problem has not been handled yet. But my child was tardy and got suspended from school. Things are not handled correctly as far as discipline goes. It also seems to be a who your family is kind of school in some situations.

Disappointed in the main officials of this school. They are very judgemental & do not give second chances for nothing! If a child makes 1 mistake it will follow them all year! And in some cases they do extreme things like throw a kid out permenantly for making 1 mistake!!!! Like I said the motto should be: 'Dont mess up; We Dont Give Second Chances'!!!!! Mess up & you are out!!! The school officals are very hard nosed peopel and dont care to try to understand these kids at all!!!!!
