The principal and teachers go above and beyond for the students. All three of my girls have dyslexia. My youngest is severe and is 7 years old and still unable to read. After trying a learning disability school and paying $1600 a month for a year with little improvement we had to put her back into the public school system. They are in the process of having a resource teacher trained with Orthon-Gillingham for her.

My grandchildren attend Oak Ridge Elementary and my daughter-in- law is the Spanish teacher at Oak Ridge. I do all I can to help their school, including saving the Boxtops for Education labels with my friends' help.

We had our kids at Oak Ride ES. We very much apreciated the faculty and staff while we were there, but never to the extent of where we are today. We moved out of statethis year and now have our kids at a Private School and it is still not to the level and standard that Oak Ridge set. If you live in Oak Ridge know that we have lived all over due to my job and there are not many schools in America like Oak Ridge. It is truly a special place and we miss it dearly. From the principal to the teachers assistant, everyone cares and takes time to truly know your child. The academics is one of a high level private school and is unlike any other school in Guilford County. This is one of the top schools in the country, much less Guilford County. We miss you!

I am very proud of Oak Ridge Elementary Staff and Parents. This has been a challenging year and everyone has stepped up. My daughter is a happy student who faces challenges head on, in part because that is what the staff at ORE has shown her. We love ORE and it's staff!

I am so surprised by the quality of the teaching, the attention given to each child. Teachers are well trained and they are very motivated to everyday to give their best to every student. I have heard about the school and the teachers before my daughter joined in the Kindergarten , but now I am seeing it for real. It's very transparent on the teachers face that they are there to bring the best out of each kid. I have a peace of mind every day leaving my daughter there that she will be spending her day in the best way possible. Wonderful school , wonderful teachers!

Oak Ridge is a great school. They provide excellent educations and care about each student. Teachers fo the extra mile to assist their students achieve success in both life and academics.

My son is in kindergarden and we really love this school. All of the teachers are so friendly and want the children to thrive. The staff is very receptive to having parent volunteers and makes you feel welcome. The school has high standards for their students but I don't feel like it is crammed down our throats. All of the teachers who teach music, art, spanish, gym, and library are outstanding. We are a small town with a great school! Most of the time all you have to do is mention ORE and you get a look of envy from other parents in nearby districts.

We moved to Oak Ridge in 2003, there were plans to build a new school then but finally in 2005 the entire school opened. It is wonderful for the students to not be outside in trailers at all. The teachers have alot of parent volunteers and any time I have had questions or problems they have been addressed quickly and effectively. We have been very pleased with the quality of education and environment at Oak Ridge.

Simply put: The best school in the county. Good students, good parents, good teachers. Go to the next county over and you can compare. They have just built a new school, so I think the over crowding will get better. It is odd to see some of the negative reviews here. Some people can't be pleased and maybe it is not the best school for their specific needs.

This school is very cool and unfriendly with the exception of the secretary. I think it has gotten too big. There is a very condescending attitude about parents and students with special needs. It is not an open, welcoming school. Teachers are primarily interested in test scores. Have not seen much thinking beyond 'dittos'. On the surface the school looks great but dig a little deeper and I think you will decide to find a more pleasant environment for your child. We moved our daughter to another school.
