My grand daughter starts Kindergarden this week I will let you know more how I feel about this school once she progresses through the school year. The only way I can post this is to select a star rating. Since I have no experience with this school as of yet I will start with the highest rating and go from there. Good Luck Old Fort Elementary I am hopping that you can live up to the 5 star rating I am giving you
By far the best school in the entire region! OF Elementary is untouchable win quality student care, education, and community involvement.
I have a son in the third grade at Old fort Elem. He has had the best teachers so far. This school has alot of programs such as FAST and Circle of Parents to help with parent involvement. Also I have a older son that attended Old Fort from K-6 and he also had the best teachers. This is truely a wonderful school!!
I have a son at Old Fort Elementary. He has had nothing but success from there. Currently, he is reading on a higher grade level and his math skills are the same. His teachers are nothing but supportive of that and challenge him everyday to ensure he remains occupied and does'nt get bored with the daily activities. I'm very proud of the way Old Fort backs their kids 100% and takes care of needs, cares and concerns that come up along the way. Also, I want to say 'hats off!' to the Afterschool program. Ms. Debbie and her staff do a wonderful job with the children.
My child went there for 2 years, and Both k-1 were not good experiences for her, when she started out she was very excited but after a short time, the teachers were not encouraging, did not spend the time to help her in things she didnt know,Instead embarrased her in from of her classmates for not knowing some answers, She also attended the after school program and their was rarely enough supervision,(EX:If a child had to go to the restroom while they were outside they would send them with another classmate across the parking lot and into the school( which was open to the public for community GED classes) many times when going yo the school their would be a child wondering unsupervised,When we moved to another state she had just passed to the 2nd grade, but when tested for placement, she was so far behind she ended up repeating the 1st grade
