Bethany Community Middle School

This is our first year at BCMS. Overall, we like the school. Transportation seems to be an issue. We were told at the open house in the spring that BCMS is a family and there is a slew of parents to assist with transportation for students. That slew of parents quickly disappeared once school started. Not alot of cooperation or willingness in the 'family'.

I would highly recommend BCMS because of its small classes, caring teachers and a principal that does not allow DRAMA! My daughter loved this school ! It is a private school education for free -- it is the best kept secret in Rockingham County.

There are small class sizes, the teachers really care how your child is doing in school and the principal is wonderful. They all are committed to our childrens success.

This school is the best! My daughter struggled from 1-5th grade, until she came to bcms.She has done so good! The teachers and entire staff are great,they really care about all the students.This school has helped my daughter get an education without all the nonsense drama that goes on in the standard middle schools.Thats what I want for my children.Bcms is the best kept secret in rockingham county!

The academics at BCMS are ok. The teachers range from dynamic and engaging to dull and uninspiring. I guess I'd rate them about average. While sports remain in the background, music most definately captures the limelight at this school . BCMS is the only school in Rockingham County to offer a guitar class for its students. Perhaps the biggest incentive, to send your child to this school is the size and guaranteed invidual attention.
