West brunswick is an excellent school to attend for the area. Yes, it has it's problems but every school does. It is improving every day and has changed a lot over the four years I have attended. There are some terrible teachers, yes, but the memorable teachers far outweigh. I have had teachers that have left an impact on my life forever. I just had a teacher say to me "I have no doubt that you will be successful. I honestly think you will go very far in life." I haven't had this teacher for two years. It shows they really do care about their students. To all the negative comments: WBHS is a family. We have dealt with many deaths of our peers in just my four years and each time the principal takes time to announce the death of a "family member" and we all come together and get through it. West has left an impact in my life and I will forever be a trojan. If you don't feel this way, maybe you should open your eyes to the beautiful things around you instead of narrowing your vision to just the negative aspects.

School is outstanding. Improves every year since they got the new principal. Scores are high, moral is great, and school is safe and orderly. School has a wonderful college program where students get college credit.

I had the honor of graduating from West in 2007. Go Trojans! We had three different principals during my four years there. I really enjoyed my time at West and I still have a good relationship with most of the teachers I had. Most have either retired or transferred schools but I still keep in contact with them. West, like any school, is whatever you make it. I did anything and everything I could at West to keep myself out of trouble since I come from a single parent household. I took all honors while at West. The teachers were very helpful and a couple of them helped me get into college. The athletics are great and they should be better this year since West is in a different conference. Overall, West is an average school but if you take advantage of the things there it can be an wonderful experience.

My son Love's this school, he's A-B honor roll, jrotc, wrestling. My only real problem is that the wrestling matches are so unorganized, they are to long kids get tried and hungry. Their's got to be a better way. Grandparnet's come to see matches that take up to 7 hrs! Some children still haven got their medals from the matches. But my son love's wrestling.

Sure the administration is nice, but they hardly DO anything for you..other than teach. Let me just say that West does not have many academic opportunities other than the standard curriculums that are given to them...and that they tend to focus on sports too much. I would love to see some improvements. Also, the school lunch is terrible (many high school luches are), some restrooms smell like ciggaret smoke, and of course, there are drugs, drama, and profanity. Not overly-much, but still. It is really easy to become very bored there, not much goes on...other than the hype over the football game...

I have found the school to foster a wonderful attitude toward learning. The school climate has changed. The kids love the school, attendance is climbing, scores are rising, and it's become the best school in the area.

My son has some special needs and I find that three out of four of his teachers are very helpful and patient.

Almost every teacher I had at West was extremely helpful. I didn't fail a single class and stayed out of trouble. It's not hard but my parents set ground rules, which some parents don't do. I love the teachers there! Keep up the good work Trojans!!
