I have a child in both SCCS and LFPS. We are a military family and every time we talk about leaving, we are sick about our children losing this FAMILY. The teachers and staff are amazing, caring, intelligent and truly LOVE our babies! I have been complimented in public on many occasions by people that "overhear" my children discussing and singing about Jesus as well as their manners and intelligence! I like to claim most of the manners and intelligence (DNA ;)) but these two schools mean so much to us as a FAMILY unit that we hesitate leaving at all! We LOVE the FAMILY of SCCS!

Our son attends the 4yr old class at Little Friends Preschool, part of SCCS. I cannot fully express in words how much this school means to our family. Our son is learning latin, art, music, in addition to his "reading/writing/aritimatic" and he LOVES it. What's more important is that I'm seeing his character develop into one after God's own heart. The teachers are outstanding and the administration knows everyone by name. They highly encourage family participation. I am not pentecostal or presbyterian, and I have never felt any specific denomination "pushed" on our family. In fact, it seems we've met people from all faiths there. What is "pushed" is the love of Christ and the expectation of Christ-like behavior. I could not have asked or dreamed of a better preschool experience for our son. What an honor it is to drop him off there every morning knowing that he is loved by his teachers and peers, prayed for by the Mom's in Touch group, and cared for by everyone he encounters. LFPS is a tremendous blessing to our family and they truly exemplify Christ in action. It's something they take seriously and something I see every single day when I am there.

Just so you understand by "Christian" they really mean something more akin to "Pentecostal". That's fine, but they soft-pedal that during the admissions process. We had an absolutely awful experience here. The administration supports teachers no matter how unprofessional their behavior. There is no acceptance whatsoever of children's different levels of abilities and temperaments. If Christianity means tolerance to you, then you should steer clear.

My daughter attends Little Friend Preschool and I absolutely love it. She does very well and the teachers are amazing. The classes aren't too big and it's very structured. My daughter learns so much and she loves going to school. The communication between the teachers and parents is also great. I always know what's going on. Definitely a great school and I would recommend it to anyone!

This is our 4th year at the school and we absolutely love it! The children are so engaged through songs, chants and moving their bodies to help them learn an amazing amount of material. The kids are also able to learn so much, in part, because of the orderly class environment. The teachers are dedicated, caring, and effective. My third grader is learning Latin this year and already starting to see how words fit together and learning all about parts of speech and sentence structure. If we ever move, my top priority will be finding another classical school - it is simply the best educational method I've seen.

I'm proud all three of my children happily attend Little Friends Preschool & SCCS. An education I wish I had as a child. My children have been provided a strong foundation to their education & will be able to build on year after year. I'm thrilled w/my children's progress of learning @ the Grammar Stage, & look forward to their ability to apply their knowledge @ the Logic & Rhetoric Stages. More importantly, my children have strong spiritual faith, believing w/out question, in God & our Savior, Jesus Christ. They have a tremendous grasp of Scritpure & it's truth. I'm impressed w/Administration, who continue to strive for the greatest educational experience for our children & provide excellent opportunities for our children. Teachers are truly a gift from Heaven. Their talents & gifts shine on a daily basis. They genuine love their students and love their career. We are blessed. Thank you!

We have been so pleased with Sandhills Classical Christian School. Our child has been challenged in ways he never would be in a non-classical school, with advanced literature and language arts, Latin, ancient Roman and Greek history linked to biblical studies. I love hearing the little voices singing great old hymns as part of their morning devotional. It is amazing to see application of the trivium model with an emphasis on memorization at the younger level (grammar school) as a step to the ability to analyze and express their ideas in the logic stage (middle school), and then have the ability to enter into true debate in the rhetoric stage (upper school). We love the teachers, the curriculum, the unique and fun extracurricular offerings, emphasis on the great authors, the small classes, the deep friendships. Thank you, SCCS!

I am a teacher who is currently a stay at home mom. I researched and visited all the private schools in the area. I was and still am impressed with the Classical Christian School on Pee Dee Rd. It is a challenging program! The students impress and amaze me. You should see it for yourself!

I have a child in SCCS and a child in the Little Friends Preschool. I am very happy with both schools and programs. My older child actually went to public school last year and while it wasn't a total disaster, he was stressed out with all the homework (an hour at least per night in Kindergarten). This year is a breath of fresh air. The students learn to read using phonics instead of sight words and invented spelling. My older child is much more confident and I feel like he is in a safer and more caring environment. I couldn't be happier with both my kids' progress at this school.
