We've been extremely happy with PJP II. Wonderful, caring staff, committed to the children's education and overall well being.
Excellent school with a growing population of students. The teachers, principal, and ancillary staff are wonderful. They are enthusiastic about the school, the students, and teaching, and it shows in the quality of education they provide. They also have afterschool clubs, an aftercare program, and summer day camps.
This is an excellent school with wonderful teachers and a great new principal who has excellent leadership skills. There is a strong focus on integrating technology into all classes. The children are taught to strive for academic excellence as well as to be morally sound individuals. Many after school activities are available. The school community is very active.
This is a great private school and well worth the money (2009 $4500/yr) compared to others in Southern Pines. The teachers are excellent - small class sizes. The teachers have years of experience and are focused on what is best for each Child. The new principal Dr Kruska is focused on the growth of the school and has a wealth of leadership experience. I think is should be put on your list if you are moving to the area of schools to research and check out.
Pope John Paul II is a great school with a great environment. The new principal, Rick Kruska, has brought new vision and leadership to the school. The fundamentals of the school are grounded in the Catholic faith. The school prepares our young children to live their lives through faith, leadeship and a commitment to community.
This school had potential, but poor leadership, lack of organization and a weak curriculum has inhibited their potential for being a 'great school.'
