Allegheny High School is a school with a vision to put its students on par with the 21st Century learning. Teachers care about the students and work beyond the call of duty to enable a high level of student success. On the other hand students need to recognize that its their responsibility to be focus and make use of the opportunities that they are given.
The academic programs are fair at best. A select few teachers really care about their students and help, but the majority of the school's staff could care less about the students. Alleghany High School is also not a very safe school. We have one police officer and he would be relatively unable to prevent school violence simply because he can't be everywhere at once. Alleghany High looks like a relatively good school based on test scores, but in truth this school is a joke.
