My son is in the 5th grade and has always gone to the school. Mrs.Wall is the best thing that has ever happened to Spring Hope Elementary since Donna Carr was principal in 1995 when my older 2 boys were there.I think they have some great staff members and some not so great.People complain about the way some kids act well they need to see the way some of the parents act and you will know why the kids are the way they are.Instead of hanging around the school gossiping and bullying ,put your time to good use and volunteer.I have done this every year and enjoy it a lot . If parents want better for their kids than start with your actions as a parent and if your child gets his/her card moved for not obeying the rules ,Please do not fuss the teacher out. They are not sitting around thinking up things to make up on your child. I do want to Thank Bebe Wall for a great job .
I am satisfied with SHES. The principal and teachers are concerned with the children's education. The tutoring program has enhanced the children to become better students. I like the way they recognize and reward the children for doing a good job. All four of my children have attended SHES, and they really like this school.
I feel SHES is good school. However, there are some problems with administration that need to be addressed immediately. Bebe Wall is an awesome principal who cares deeply for every child in her school and it shows. But the people under her are a different story. I would just like to warn parents that any confidential information you provide to the school about your child is shared with others in the school as gossip. Information is even shared with teachers that have no contact with your child. Parents please also be aware of questionable behavior of the assistant principal. Be sure to document any contact you have with the assistant principal, sometimes your child's best interest is the last concern. Also information about your child maybe documented in their record one way yet presented to you in a different manner, ask for documented proof.
I feel that Spring Hope Elementary has come along way since Mrs. Wall has become principle. But I also think there are still issues that need to be resolved. In becoming the best school and trying to keep up appearance wise the teachers and dtaff have become more leanient as to kids picking on other kids and getting away with it. Excuse me but just because a child doesn't have any raising at home and has a bad home environment does not mean that it is ok to use another child as a punching bag. There have been a few incidents that I am aware of where this has happened and they are being overlooked because of wanting the school to look good and go without having to write up incidents. This is not teaching our children a good example.
What a joy to have our child to experience Kindergarten at SHES. Leadership is awesome! The principal, Bebe Wall, is the FIRST face we see in the mornings when dropping her off and in the afternoons when we pick her up. She personally writes notes of encouragement on our daughter's report card; something that we have NEVER know a principal to do. Our child's teachers are also wonderful! Our daughter has learned so much from them and can't wait to go to school to see them. The other faculty and staff are so pleasant and welcoming. And that is even when we are not on the school grounds. We are well pleased! GREAT job SHES! GREAT job!
I am happy with the school and the teachers at this school. My daughter attends kindegarten and her teacher has helped make her adjustment to school a very easy one. Her teacher is very understanding of the many attitudes of the students and has taken steps to help each student adjust to the new environment.
I am very happy with this school. My daughter attends Kindergarten and has learned so much this year. There are plenty of opportunities for parents to meet with teachers and be involved in their children's academic career. On every grade level, teachers are committed to outreaching to the students and parents. I am very thankful that I live in this district where teachers allow parents to be involved in every aspect of their children's education.
I have been very pleased with my child's teachers during his two years at SHES. I am less than thrilled with the principal. Overall low test scores continue to be a disappointment but I am hopeful for increased scores in the future. The horrible snowball effect of No Child Left Behind is not the fault of the teachers by any means! The socioeconomic status of the students should not be an indicator of parental involvement, however this is unfortunately not the case at SHES. Given the circumstances I feel the teachers at SHES are doing a great job!
This is the second year my son has been at spring hope elementary, we have been very pleased. The principal and staff have all been very helpful when i needed information. His teachers have always informed me by notes in his agenda or by calling me to give me updates. My son enjoys his school.
I give Spring Hope Elementary School 4 out of 5 stars. I feel the teachers are making a great effort to educate the children.
