Speight Middle School is a great school for students of any middle school level. Speight got a new prinipal, Mr. Jeremy Stevens, who has shown leadership and done a lot of great things for our school. The teachers are the best in the world and will help with anything. Speight is one of the best schools and that's all that needs to be said. -Aaron Long

I was not impressed with this school for many reasons. After hearing just one too many horror stories about things that took place in the restrooms during breaks, I took my child out of this school. Also, it became very obvious to me that none of the teachers knew my child at all when we discussed her at the parent/teacher meetings; I actually asked them if we were discussing the same kid! I have also heard several teachers screaming at the kids. I understand that the job is frustrating, but it is what the teachers were hired to do, and I don't feel that all the kids should be screamed at for the actions of one or two.

I think my school, Speight Middle School, is an excellent school. Speight offers many classes for students who need special attention and students who are above average in their grade level classes. We have electives that interest us based upon our social and physical lives. There are many clubs and teams that we can join. Sports are offered in seventh and eighth grades and Drill Team is offered in all grades. You have to try out for those things, but fun comes with hard work. Speight isn't a bad school. There's lots of teachers who care about their students, regardless of how old or young the teacher is. Our teachers show us the support that many kids don't get. Speight Middle School has more to offer than just education. We all learn to work hard, work together, and try to have fun doing it. That's what counts, isn't it?
