I was initially very concerned about sending my 8 year old son here based on the lack of information online-The only review I could find was from 2007. I can only speak for the school year 2014-15: There are no "expensive uniforms," they only request that the children wear any type of collared shirt, tucked in. No additional expenses or school supplies were requested. The teachers, Principal and staff obviously love what they do and are great with the kids! My 8 year old was referred here by some very well-respected professionals because it was a better fit for his needs at the time. The class is much smaller/higher teacher ratio, very high quality teachers, counselors, and staff. My son LOVES it. There are 6-8 children in my son's class and both a teacher and assistant teacher. They stress good behavior and manners. Each time I've visited, the atmosphere is quiet, well controlled, and always positive. If it helps, I am a mature parent with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. I am mainly writing this review because it would have helped me to hear from another parent when I was making the decision of whether or not to send my son here.

My family moved here from the north west and my child started school at Pressly. My child went to preschool, day care and started kindergarten up north. When we transferred down here to Pressly I was not impressed. The cost of school is outrageous between school supplies and uniforms. I think uniforms are a waste at this age. I feel children should be free to express themselves and learn their own personality. I also was very upset that my child never had any behavioral problems while in her previous schools and all of a sudden she was always in trouble. My child used to love going to school until we enrolled her in Pressly! My child is bright girl who is well above average and Pressly did not challenge her mind!
