I am an alumnus and this school was the best decision I have ever made. I am graduating from East Carolina University with my bachelors degree in Biology in Spring of 2013 at age 19. I cannot tell you what an amazing experience I had at CCTL and the support I received from staff and peers was unbelievable. If you're looking to grow both as a person and academically and are serious about your education, I definitely would recommend CCTL.

I love school here. The teachers are especially great, and overall is a much better choice than the alternative, regular high school- for me, at least. It is more than worth finishing the application process. I don't regret coming here at all, and would make the choice again if I had the chance to change it. If there really IS this mysterious high school experience I'm missing, I frankly don't want it.

I love my school! The teachers actually care about us, and when you don't understand something, they help you. They don't treat you like an idiot, we're talked to like adults. This is the first school I, and most of my classmates, have felt like I belonged in. They don't give you busy work and everyone makes everyone else feel welcome.

What I love about cctl is the teachers and kids there are so friendly. All the teachers help every kid be succesful. They make learning fun and interesting. They also go above and beyond to challenge students to do there best. They actually make you think.

This is a Learn and Early Early College High School (non-traditional school of choice). Students use technology to learn and practice collaboration with peers, leadership abilities and critical thinking. The school has small class sizes and teachers have opportunity to build relationships with students. The website is www.cctlec.org

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
