I think this school is fantastic. My children have enjoyed learning and do not want to miss a single day. The teachers are wonderful and they make learning fun.

My children enjoyed their time at WD Wiliams and were saddened when we had to move away. Their 1st and 3rd grade teachers were outstanding and the staff members we had grown to know were quite friendly and careing individuals. As a parent vounteer, I felt the teachers were always welcoming and very appreciative of the time I had given. Mr. Munn, my daughter's 3rd grade teacher, is absolutely outstanding at his proffesion. I observed his efforts to connect with his students and was very impressed with his style and how involved his students would reamain durring a lesson. Mrs Davidson, my son's 1st grade teacher, is also very caring and commited to her proffesion. She had just finished her Master's degree and always maintained a very comfortable environment in her classroom. She also recognized those students who excelled in certain subjects and needed an extra challenge.

Overall saddened by our child's first & only year. Teacher was not very cooperative, & most other teachers we communicated with were very cold. Our child never felt welcome, or cared for by most of the staff. When there was homework, many nights our child stated that it was never reviewed in class. There were no books for this class either! Very upsetting. We realize that it's close to the end of the year, but teachers should maintain self control, patience, and understanding. The same as if it were the first or middle of the year. Academics for our child have gone down this year. This school should concentrate on 'positives' not 'negatives'. We are sorry we do not have anything good to report. Private schools have definetely been a plus for us. Better care, attention, understanding, love, and discipline. Prayer time needed.

So far I do not like this school. It is overcrowded and my child hates going to school at William Estes. My child is overwhelmingly stressed about attending her overcrowded classroom and feels picked on by the teacher. The learning environment is not conducive to all types of learners. The learning methods are very rigid-all regulation, no flexibility and no heart. The style of instruction at W. Estes is cookie cutter regardless of your child's learning style, pace and personality. This school is disorganized about everything, bus schedules, and other ways of getting kids home. Information is not readily available either. Also their website never works. However other N.C. district websites work just fine. For being in an affluent area and county(Buncombe), I would have expected a quality school.

I have 2 children at this school and have been very pleased with the skill of the teaching staff and the condition of the facility and the great extracurricular activies, such as chess, mathfair and clogging, no complaints.

W.D.Williams is an outstanding school, in my opinion. The school teaches getting along with others & social interaction, as well as the standard math reading etc. Extracurricular activities are fun & instructional. Mrs. Peninger is a caring & outstanding instructor & I look forward to my daughter attending as my son has this past year.
