Union School is a cut above when it comes to people who care. The teachers go the extra mile to help each student and give them one on one help. This school really promotes volunteering and are the most helpful , friendly , and knowledgable people to work with. It is a pleasure to be associated with a school that offers teachers , students , and volunteers a place to live, learn , and grow together.
Overall, I was pleased with Union Elem. The school was overcrowed during my child's time there, and she had to be in a trailor. I was not thrilled with the teachers ability to teach, but thankfully, my daughter learns easily. The reading program could use an overhaul. By giving the students better incentives to read books, they would be more prepared for higher learning. I did like the professionalism the school had as a unit. There is def. a great structure behind the scenes. If they would vamp up the reading counts prizes, I know it would only be good.
My son has went here for 5 years and the teachers and staff really do a wonderful job teaching and communicating with the parents. It is a very friendly atmosphere that makes parents welcome any time.
