Banoak is a great school! I have one child who has graduated from Banoak and 2 more that are currently attending Banoak. The teachers are some of the best in the county. They really care about the students and challenging them to be the best they can be. Our principal, Dyanne Sherrill, strives to make sure each child is recognized for their good behavior and/or grades. The students love her and her love for them shows daily as well. It's such a pleasure to see students come in and seek out staff members to give them a hug and say good morning. To me that speaks volumes. My children have been challenged to their full potential each year. The county does not recognize the school because we are out in the county and they tend to forget about us. Our school does need some improvements but the county looks over that most of the time. Our PTO has been a huge support for the school. They are very good about providing what items are needed to help enchance the learning of the students or well being of the students. Overall, I love this school and I'm very thankful that my children have been a part of it.
As previouly stated Banoak is Catawba County's best kept secret! Banoak does not always get the recoognition it deserves! We always strive for the best in our students and teachers! I couldn't ask to work at a better school or have the ability to teach more gifted students! Danielle Cairns 2nd grade teacher
Banoak really is Catawba County's best kept little secret. I appreciate my principal's ability to embrace change. Mary Washburn EC Teacher
Banoak lacks quality teachers who truely care about our children and their education. Not all teachers are that way but I would say the majority. We definately need a new elementary school in our area. I think we probably have one of the oldest elementary schools in the area!
To me, Banoak is Catawba Counties little secret. The staff is probably one of the best around. Thanks to Mr. Biggerstaff.
