I am a parent of a 6th grade student at WMS and also a alumni, I find it hard to understand the behavior problems at this school. Some teachers really seem to care about what is going on in their classroom as well as if the student needs help at home. I have only had one teacher that seems to have problems communicating with the parents as well as the students. I will be contining to work toward solving this problem. I do wish that teachers would update their web siites on a consistent basis. Overall my child seems to be happy but I would love to see a new school built; I hope the funds will become available in the near future.
Wms is a really great school. The teachers are great and they really care about what goes on in the classroom. I love my grade and I love my team GO BENEFACTORS!
i think that my school which is Walkertown Middle School is a good school and has great teadhers! Walkertown Middle staff has really helped me on anything that i need! The people there are really great!!
I am very impressed by the school. I have had two children graduate here in the past two years and I now have a sixth grader attending. the staff is caring and the administration is supportive. The only problem I see is the building improvments. this school could use an overhaul. I feel it's a shame that the school has not been alloted building funds.
Wonderful! I have been attending this school for 2 years and can't even think about leaving to go to highschool.
This is my first year at WMS and I really like it. It is a old school, but we have a great staff and principal. I havent had any trouble at all this year. It's really great. The only bad thing is there arent many extra cirricular activities for 6th graders.
The teaching staff at this school 'could be' one of the best in the state IF it had the backing of the current adminstration. The AG program is very challenging. The music program is the best that I have first hand knowledge of. As far as parent involvement, as with anything else, you have those that do, and those that dont. More those that dont at this school. Lack of consistancey in discipline is the biggest factor.
I have attended WMS for the past two years and now I am in the 8th grade. This school has a great staff that's main goal is to help their students succeed. I would recommend this school to anyone!
This is my daughter's first year at Walkertown Middle and the first quarter she made honor roll and the principal's list with a GPA of 3.75. But there have been a lot of bullying going on with all the wrong punishment. The principal is wonderful, but there are a great deal of behavioral problems going on and noone taking it serious enough to put an end to it! When a good student is put in the same class with a bad student it's hard for the well behaved children to do what is asked when others are disruptive. Homeschool might be a better choice!
My grandchildren have been enrolled this year into Walkertown MIddle School.I was very impressed the way everyone handled thing.I beleive that this is going to be a good year for them thanks to all the people their you feel like no job is to small or to big for them.
