Warren New Tech High School

My son attended this school his first year in high school two years ago, and it definitely wasn't what we thought. He was bullied and nothing was done about it. I can see why the great teachers that start here leave after two years. It's frustrating for the parent, I can only guess how frustrating it is for the teachers when the students show them no respect.

My view on the new tech school has changed within the past year and a half. My daughter started this school when it was originally opened, so i have been there since the beginning. To my understanding this school was was supposed to be project based, i could clearly see the way it was suppose to go during the first year, but as my daughter entered into the 10th grade, i saw it slowly dissappear. She is now in the 11th grade and i almost see none of the things close to what she was doing in the 9th grade. It seems as if it has slowly changed to just a regular high school. The challenge is gone and even with school uniforms, the appearance is definately gone. They use to have to dress up to present the projects but i haven't seen that this year. I'm dissappointed!

My son is a freshman this year and I see a new excitement about learning at New Tech. I hope things continue onthis track.

My sons have been at New Tech For 3yrs. I feel that this school will prepare them for college and for life after high school.
