This school is my Alma Mater. I have put two sons and a daughter through this school and now, my 14 yr old daughter. She loves high school. She remains to be an A average student and enjoys her teachers. They are top notch. I had no problems with my other three and now she is thriving and learning. I attribute that to the awesome teachers and staff at the school. They always take time to listen and help. My son graduated from this school in '06, and his siblings following that. So, my experience with this school has been vast. It never changes. It's been through the years, and still is, the best high school around!

The principal and his assistants have much to be desired. There is no true leadership.

I think this school is very beautiful and has high test scores, however the administration is horrible and extremely below average. There honor the athletic department and sport starts 'rule' the school, so it your child is neither I wouldn't suggest enrolling them at North Buncombe.

North Buncombe is for the most part a very good school. One of the best in the county. The administration at NBHS now has NO IDEA what they are doing. However the teachers are some of the best and well rounded that I've ever seen. The halls are over crowed. But if your into sports you will most likly fit right in.

North Buncombe High has recently underwent a much needed change in leadership from the previous principal Rodney Mangum. Widely known for its academic standing, North Buncombe is now thriving with community support for its acclaimed band, resurgent athletic teams, and social landscape. Support and consequently, succuess in the NB school district are at an all-time high.
