This is a great school for any child with a learning disability. The classes are small, and overall staff is helpful and willing to do w/e is needed to get students to graduate. At the same time For the kids who don't have a learning disability, and are just 'troubled' it seems to be more of an educational vacation. it's a very fun environment with work sometimes comparable to a 6th graders, full of smart students just too lazy or unwilling to apply themselves, I've seen plenty purposely fail just to avoid being put back into the regular school system, not much rehabilitation goes on here, just a lot of enabling, it seems like only the previously motivated progress on to continue successfully in a regular high school setting.

This school is great, they really want you to be a better student and they help you do that. I love it here and I ma a little sad to leave.

My son attended Lakeside in 2006-2007 school year program after having some difficulty at Murray Middle school. He has some learning dificulties and was not doing well at Murray - Lakeside teachers were wonderful - the small class room and invididual attention was just what he needed to go from a c-d grade to straight A's. Lakeside saved my teen-agers 7th grade year. They are doing a great job!

The administration is not fair nor consistant with discipline. I have not witnessed any effort made by the administration working with or offering support to its faculty or staff. It definitely is not a site based managed school. Most of the teachers seem open and respond to problems and concerns. I just wished they were working in a happier environment. My child likes his teachers. Most of the teachers seem to be really concerned that he is successful.
