This is a special needs for school for students with significant disabilities who require specialized instruction on a functional or life skills level. The teachers are caring, professionals dedicated to the education of these students. Not all teachers know how to teach life skills or how to make learning accessible to students like they do. Some are excellent, some are ok teachers and of course like other schools some are not so great.

This school is for students who have such bad disabilities that other schools won't take them. It is hard to get people to teach at such a school & it shows in the teachers they have. A few are good but most are not. Fight to get your kid in a regular school with a special education classroom. Lowrance doesn't get any funds from the district and the classes are overcrowded and staff is not very good. They get the people who other schools won't hire.

Hanes Middle School is connected to this school so I can observe their status. They have wonderful teachers who really care about their students. It's great to see the kids make progress and sometimes if they are doing godd they let them participate in Hanes electives.
