I went to this school from preK to 7th grade and absolutely hated it! my parents were members of the church and the teachers definately play favorites! most of the teachers are members of the church and they treat the chuch kids better. classes are WAY too small as you get into high school (7th-12th) the classes have 7-10 students. HCAs academics are fine in the younger grades, but when you get into real high school greades (9-12) you dont technically get credits. HCA excels in English but everything else is very far behind. when i transferred to a public school i found that in english i was advanced but in everything else i was VERY behind especially math. also you dont get to pick electives..you take the same thing every year, and since your class stays together for everything you dont socialize with other grade levels except between classes and lunch which isnt very good for a social life and doesnt help you learn to make new friends. kids that go to the church also think they are better and can do whatever they want. they are snooty and will do anything to make you feel uncomfortable. overall i hated heritage and dont reccomemend anyone to put their child in this school.

I cannot say enough good things about Heritage Christain Academy! My daughter began the preschool program last year and her teacher and teacher's assistant were truly a blessing to my daughter, as well as my family. I don t think I have ever seen teachers that are so loving, caring and devoted to their students. Additionally, we were continuously amazed at all of the things she was learning throughout the year. My daughter has continued to stay at Heritage in the summer care program and loves it and cannot wait to start K-4 in a couple of weeks!

I am so thankful for HCA. This is a God Focused school that teaches children how to apply scripture to their daily lives. What a blessing it is to hear 3 year olds quoting scripture from memory. The staff at HCA are very loving, dedicated to teaching, and set a Godly example for the children. My 3 year old finished the year knowing his colors, reciting ABC's, learning shapes and much more but most of all growing in the Lord. Great School =)

I am so very pleased with my son being at HCA. They teach and practice the same biblical values as we do at home. My son is 3 and has already memorized numerous bible verses, prayer and blessing. There is currently 8 children in the K3 class and Mrs. Crump knows and loves them all. There is quite no one like her. She is the most loving, caring and patient teacher I have ever known. All the children just adore her. I could not ask for a better preschool environment for my son to be in.

my husband and i know that we made the right choice for our child. the preschool program is the best. our son comes home daily telling us all that he has learned. all the children seem very loved and treated with love and compassion. along with abc's and numbers, my son is able to recite bible verses! we are very happy with the foundation that our son is getting. i know we will be getting the same quality of education next year in the 4 year old program!

Since we were not members of the church, I discussed with the Administrator if there would be an difficulties for my child before we enrolled. I was assured by HCA staff that you do not have to join the church to attend the school. My child attended HCA for one year. It seemed like the school favored 'staff children' and children who attended the church. Also whenever there was an issue in the classroom (high school) it was my child that was to blame. I did not see any difference in teacher quality, leadership or parent involvement than in the Public Schools. If you plan on attending HCA, please talk to parents outside of the HCA community first.

If your child is in preschool and your tuition is 4,000.00 yearly, then the payments are broken down into 10 monthly payments which are 400.00 a month. I am sure that you were given this information when you signed your child up, I was. Sounds to me that you owe the school May's tuition. The rest of us paid ours!

The school has MAJOR financial issues that I wholeheartedly believe should be audited!! They close too frequently without regard to the parents schedule! We pulled our children out early since the full May tuition only covered our kids until May 13th @ 12 noon (the last day of school). Although Heritage teaches the kids great values, I am not impressed with the scholastic capabilities of this school. I feel like my kids are excelling in some areas while lacking in others. Time will tell next school year in public school.

Too judgmental! They will fundraiser you to death. The principal does not speak or interact with parents as he should and some teachers only speak to certain families. My son will be moving at the end of the school year. Different strokes for different folks!

Heritage has a wonderful K-3 and K-4 program that I feel both my children have benefited greatly from. One child has moved on to the local magnet school and is leap ahead of the other kids because of what was learned while at Heritage. The teachers have been very caring, comforting and encouraging to the kids in both their academic and personal lives. While I personally am not a religious person, I have found that this has been a nice way for my kids to be introduced to this aspect of a persons life and will make them more well rounded . We discuss things at home that they have questions on or need clarification on. I HIGHLY recommend this school for its kindergarten program as it is a foundation for life; you get one shot to give them the best and this is it.

Heritage is a fantastic school. Not only does this school have a awesome educational system but also the teachers are so full of the love of God and are willing to work with their students until they learn the material to the fullest.

I love, love , love my daughter's teachers!! The teacher and the TA are wonderful! My daughter misses them when they go on break and looks forward to going back!! She comes home excited about the day's lessons and can't wait to share them. My daughter's ability to comprehend and then reiterate the concepts / objectives taught is remarkable! I am a teacher as well and I am satisfied with the preschool program. I cannot speak on the grade school program but I am very content! When I read the below comments, I felt compelled to comment.

I'm also a parent of a curious & creative child currently enrolled in the K-4 class. I too, am a public school teacher/advocate, and do plan on sending my child to public school. Overall, we have been pleased with Heritage. Although, the school doesn't acknowledge Santa or Halloween, from my experience they don't cross any lines by telling them their families are 'wrong' or 'ungodly' in observing them. We have used this as a teaching experience in our home to teach our child that the world is made up of different people-God created us this way with purpose and intention. We've simply used it as a teaching/learning experience. What better way to teach our child valuable 'life' lessons of acceptance and tolerance, than having her in an environment where she IS learning fundamental skills for her education, while still having the principles of CHRIST enforced daily?

My child currently attends Heritage and is in the Pre-school program. While I have to say that she is learning both academically and from the the bible...I would NEVER send her to school there past pre-school. Being a public school teacher, I know how challenging school can be today, my hope in sending her to Heritage, was to give her a strong foundation. I have been very disappointed in so many ways. Heritage is a stifling environment for a creative and curious child. They allow NO self-expression and cross many lines when it comes to the teacher/parent roles. If you allow your child to play 'dress up' on Halloween or let your child use their imagination and believe in the magic of Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, you may want to think twice about sending your child to Heritage. For a Christian school-very judgmental!

Both of my sons attend HCA. This school has been a blessing sent to us straight from God. The teachers really care about their students. The leadership at this school is amazing. The administration is wonderful and the school and church are run by a God sent Mr. Dupree!!

The teachers are great. However, working in the public school system for the past 15 years, this school lacks many key elements. My child is in the preschool program. After monitoring and observing various classrooms, she will not remain at the school after she is 5. The school is an excellent place if your child is only interested in attend a Bible college or a seminary school. If you have expectations for your child to attend a competitive University, you should definitely find another school. If you would like for your child to be able to contend in an ever-changing world with the tools to be successful, this is not the school for you. Check out their accreditation status for additional resources.

Sadley to say this school does not prepare students beyond third grade. It was a blessing to be at the school the one two years my children were there however it has alot ot issues that need to be improved,. It could be better but you get what you pay for in this world. Cheap is not always best. I learned a valuable lesson from going to this school. I am not trying to say anything bad because there were some things that were good about the school but the bad outweighted the good in my experience and I would never go back there again. True no school is perfect as one parent has said I agree however, organization and persistance is the key to success.

We must ALL agree there is not one school that is perfect nor is the world we live in. My children are at this school because public school academically can not provide for my them. The curriculum is top notch, teachers are talented, would love to see it grow. As far as 'other' Christian schools Heritage does not 'sit on the fence' with the religous beliefs. It is what it is and 'other' schools for ex. allow NIV memory versus. Research who wrote this Bible. Heritage and myself want children to know TRUTH. We are blessed to be at this school!

yes they do have a 'great' enviroment when it comes to keeping every child in a relationship with God, but when it comes to what they believe well MOST of the faculty people are VERY judmental and play favorites. Also, in no way do they practice (based on they way they react to each students 'priorities') they are unfair treat every person differently and in no way ,other then the dresscode, do they practice what they preach!

I am extremely pleased with the education that my children received and are receiving at Heritage. I have one in college and is doing very well, thanks to the foundation he received. I would recommend this school to any parent who wants a higher and more structured atmosphere for their kids. The school is also very affordable compared to other private schools. Check them out for your selves.
