I absolutely adore the students and staff still present at this amazing facility. The school has done well for itself since it began as an elementary school in '03. I'm impressed with how they have improved their newest space by making it more comfortable and a better learning environment for the students; the modular s were hardly suitable for the growing crowds of pupils and staff, with the bunched in . The specials are wonderful, considering as how I, a recently 'graduated' student from Wakelon, have experienced the drag of electives at another school when I was much younger. I am proud to say I spent 5 years at this astounding school, and am also proud that my sister is doing the same.

Love this school! My daughter loves her teachers, and as a parent think they are way underpaid for their efforts! Keep up the good work Wakelon Elementary, you should be proud!

We just recently moved to Zebulon, NC about two months ago and so far we think Wakelon is an excellent school. The teachers and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. My kindergartener loves going to school every day.

Having moved into the new school building, I believe the staff and the kids have a wonderful excitement about this upcoming school year! My Kindergartner loves school and I am pleased with her teachers! The school has implemented a Positive Behavior System (PBS), to reinforce positive behavior throughout the school, rather than focusing on negative behavior. Wakelon offers music, art, p.e., media and computers as specials for the children (one per day). From what I have seen thus far, Wakelon is on its way to becoming a great school! If I had to make any suggestions/wishes for Wakelon, it would be for more 'magnet-type' opportunities for the kids; such as drama, foreign language and for more parents to become involved in their child's school experience-through PTA! My husband and I both have joined and look forward to committing as much time as possible to the school!

The teachers are very knowledgeable, the staff is friendly, and the assistant principal has done a great job of being accessible to parents and has great communication skills. The assistant principal is an excellent resource and she treats the staff/teachers with respect.
