The counselors' focus on keeping kids in the state is detrimental to their success. If you want your child to go to an out-of-state school, you're pretty much on your own. The extra-curricular programs are seeing an unfortunate decline, due to insufficient funding. There are some great teachers in all of the departments, especially in the English department, but their effectiveness is becoming more and more limited as class sizes grow - the school board is not replacing teachers who retire. The teachers and administrators are trying, and a lot of them are very competent, but the lack of funding is making it really hard on everybody.

I went to this school and graduated in 2003, I don't believe that some of the scores are the fault of the school. It has a great atmosphere for the most part. Most of the teachers that I had were great. especially in English and classes at the vocational center such as ChildCare, Shop, etc.
