North is a great school if your into sports or have specials needs. It is fun and inviting, the teachers are great. AP classes are offered to all students. Senoirs have some of the funest times.

I have never recieved as much help from any teachers from previous schools as I have from the teachers at North. I went from failing all classes to getting A's and B's with a 3.867 GPA and still working to go higher!

As a parent I feel that North is a pretty decent school compared to some of the other High schools in ths city. I agree that there could be more extracurricular activities for the students, but over all it's o.k As far as parents being involved that could be better I'm sure, I'm a working single mom but I do my best to let the teachers , principal as well as my son know that I'm always available by phone email etc... and will come to a meeting need be, for whatever the reason. All i ask is that the teacher not wait until my son has done something wrong or he's failing before I'm contacted. It takes a village and we as parents must realize that not just the teachers live there!

Its a nice school. The teachers are always willing to help and the school enviroment is really nice. The discipline is handled very well. There are vey little exracurricular activities. I would not recommend the school.

Quality of academic programs: Most of the teachers are very good; there are a few exceptions. The honors classes are very good quality, but there is very little class and elective selection. Availability of Music, Art, Sports & other: There are some music classes but they are not very strict ones. The art classes are taught by only one teacher and students usually can't fit art into their schedule. Barely anything else is offered for extracurriculars and some of the sports are pay-to-play. Level of Parent Involvement: The Parent-Teacher Association no longer exists. There is very little parent involvement in the school unless something has gone wrong, and they must attend a meeting with an assistant principle.
