The academic teachers are very concientious about helping each student do their best. It's difficult to help all of the special education students on an individual basis in the classrooms but there are many excellent special education teachers in the school who have a very 'hands on' approach in every class in which their students participate. This concept works well, and helps the children. The extracurricular activities are varied and well-supported, from sporting activities, (track, football, wrestling), to the many musical events which are slated each year. The music teachers are excellent and band and chorus are growing and doing well. The staff takes a personal interest in every student and knows them by name - oftentimes even if they are not in their class. The administrative staff in this school works well with the teachers and is very supportive of their efforts and the students. Discipline is not a problem.
