We checked out the rating before moving here and I can tell you this is accurate! What an awesome school! My son (8th grade) loves it and the teachers are all very nice. Highly recommend.
I am a grandfather and think this school will be just great for my grandson.
I'm a student of Learwood Middle School, and I think it's awesome. There's an awesome teaching team that I know is 100% interested in what they teach and the well-being of the kids they're teaching. Everyone at Learwood takes 'encore' classes, with a quarter per extra-curricular. They are -Technology -Computer -Skills (Handling domestic violence and career research) -Art -Choir (one of 3 music options) -Band (one of 3 music options) -General music (one of 3 music options) -Personal Finance (8th grade only) -Gym (this lasts for 1/2 of the year) - Cooking (8th grade obly) -Sewing (8th grade only) Many clubs are also available, including athletic sports, Math counts, Power of the Pen, and Student Council. All of the parents I know of are very involved in their child's education. This is a happy, high-quality school!
